Good afternoon; new member. Bought '09 SL yesterday. I've spent the last 2 hours reading various posts on this forum but haven't found an answer to my question.

If my stereo does not have the 'Satellite' option, is it prewired with the sat antenna? I want to hook up my XM SkyFi2 and really hate the wired, magnetic antenna's. If the cable is not prewired, is there another Rogue antenna with two leads; one for std radio and one for Sat? Has anyone else solved this problem?

If your Rogue does not have the SAT radio, then you likely do not have the antenna either. There is another post discussing adding an aftermarket XM sat radio with more information. Reusing or retrofitting the stock sat radio antenna with an aftermarket sat radio may not be possible:

Here is great picture showing the different antenna's. The white Rogue has the larger SAT antenna, while the Black Rogue has the standard (non sat) antenna.image courtesy member Fergie-Ferg

Thank you philipa, that clears up a lot of things. One final question, if you can help. Does the antenna (with XM) have two leads coming up to the radio; one for local radio and one for satellite? Or is there only one coming to the radio that serves a dual purpose? OK, 2 questions; LOL.

There are 2 cables/wires:

1) Sat radio: Goes from the antenna to the LH rear cargo area where the factory sat radio tuner is normally mounted. There is NO sat radio antenna wiring at the front of the vehicle.2) AM/FM radio: Goes from the antenna to the radio at the front.

I stated the issues with the sat antenna the other post, but here it is again with some more info:

1) The cable for the factory sat antenna is too short. Depending on if you had the factory sat radio or not, it's either a 4-6 inches from the antenna or in the LH rear cargo area (behind the panel) where the factory sat radio tuner is mounted. It would have to be extended several feet to reach the front of the vehicle.

2) The Nissan cable is a 1 pin rectangular plug. Most XM recievers use round SMB connectors. I have not seen any adapters for this. You would have to somehow fabricate your own cable and splice it.

One final note,

You cannot use the radio antenna wiring at the front of the vehicle for the sat antenna. The factory antenna has a built-in amplifier that is incompatible with sat radio signals.

Also, I order a 'through the glass' antenna today. I plan on installing it in the upper right corner of the windshield.
