I think im late on my info. but is this true? no more turbo , the SR20 will be replaced with a V-6 for the K's model and I-4 for the Q's. IS THIS TRUE? :firedevil:

there is no s16... the sr was replaced by the qr

I talk to my parts manager of a local Nissan DealerShip. He Told me that he went to a meting at CA that Nissan is talking to US Dealer about bring a 250SX out (Maybe a S16). Because They are thinking about discont the Sentra SE-R and bring out the 250SX!

Nissan doesnt sell a coupe starting under $30K (350Z). That is a market they hopefuly will try to fill with the S16.

no no such thing. not gonna happen. Only thing i heard is my grandmother works at Nationwide Nissan in Timonium, Maryland and the manager or whatever works there loves drifting and everything. Just like all of us here on NICO he is obsessed with his S13 coupe. My grandmother said he mentioned that Nissan Japan plans to sometime re-distribute the S-chasis car for a very limited production as an anniversary car. So i think if that is true and ever happens we'll have to wait until the cars get a little bit older.

What i stated above is not 100% gonna happen. It's what this guy Pat had told my grandmother.

I came accross this pic of a sapposed s16 that looks to be from a japanese magazine. The car looks nice a sleek and seems to be based off the 350z chassis. It says it uses a sr20vet engine. what does the v stand for? Quad overhead cam?

-The V in SR20VET stands for Variable Valve LIFT, the motor is made in the quantity of 300 a year, only in japan and is transverse (So, no, it wont fit in your 240).

-If there is new compact 4 cylinder RWD car from nissan, it will be equiped with the same RWD QR25DE found in the 2005 base model frontier

-The S-16 roumor has been around for like 3 years now, welcome to a long long time ago...

I mean, I know that they dont want it competing with the Z sales, but, in reality, no matter how fast they made the S16, people who want a Z will still buy a Z. No, V isn't supercharged . . . supercharging is noted with an "R".

If they really want to reintroduce the 240 and make some money they should bring in a downed version(to meet standards) of the SR20DET S15.

Label it as the 200SX and call it a day.

J-spec do you ever go to mid state airport to autocross? I have some friends with z31's that go to Penn State that said someone runs a s13 at the events. Ironic those guys are from philly to. If you are maybe we can go to an event or something. I am only 45 min away from state college. Thats where I got my s13 at.

J-spec i was driving up there one weekend on my way back from new York and saw a Red S14. Theres a mina drag ro soemthing right in front of the college. Lots of shops and what not. It was parked on the sieof the road. Lowered N1 Duals. 5-zigen rims and i guess either KA-T or SR cuz i saw an FMIC. Any idea who owns it or if it was jsut stopping by?

Nissan bring back the S-chassis simply because of the drift scene...? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Most of the "drifters" are posers anyway and can barely afford to fix theier own cars when the ram into stuff, let alone buy a $25k+ sports car if it comes out.
