I was only a freshman last year and I didnt have my car with me, but I'll be out alot this year. There are a bunch of 240's that I have seen around town, havent seen any turbo ones yet.

I'm going to try and go to as many autoX events as posible, so maybe we will meet up or something

Nissan bring back the S-chassis simply because of the drift scene...? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Most of the "drifters" are posers anyway and can barely afford to fix theier own cars when the ram into stuff, let alone buy a $25k+ sports car if it comes out.

I wasn't saying Nissan wasn't paying attention to the trend. They aren't going to market another RWD sports car alongisde the 350Z.

You have to look at the target demographic here. People who are into drifting generally are mid 20's and lower in age. 80-90% of that demographic wouldn't be able to afford such a car if it came out.

i wouldtn go as far to say that. Might not seem liek much but my cousin is only 21 full tiem art student, single parent and he bought a brand new 2000Celica for 23g and bought a brand new BMW 325i for 31g

edit: its all about how you finance and talk the price down with the dealer

And it's all about what you do for a living. How many early 20 year olds do you think that can afford the monthly note or even have the credit to get a $22+k car? Not that many, and that is the point he is trying to make.

When I was 20, I bought a brand new 1999 Mustang GT, $23,000. I can name alot of other people that are 20 that have alot more expensive cars than that. Why argue about why Nissan won't or shouldn't bring out an S16. Are we not all fans of the S-chassis here?? What's the deal?? You want the affordable Nissan sports car to die?? or stay dead?? And don't pull that "the 350Z is only 25k" crap. The Z is a totally different car. I vote for Nissan to bring out an S16.

If nissan came out with a sentra priced RWD compact, there would be a huge market. Hell I have spent nearly that much on my car on my own dime and im only 19.

There would be a HUUUUGE market for another s chassis car. It would be the same idea as the miata more or less... cheaper models available with the forced induction line as the special edition. I'd definitely try to fenagle my way into one THAT's for sure.

i dont see the point of why Nissan would. If you get down to it theres isnt a huge demand for more parts out side of the drift and drag community. Now if they mass produced liek Honda to get a billion 240's here that would be diffeernt.
