If neither one of these things happened to this car, it should be all legit. Like I said, some states are pretty leniant as far as registering imported cars, etc.
dittoz, you don't have to be super rich to buy one..payments would be what around 450 a month for a 26,000 dollar loan?
BasicsIn Order To Legally Import A Car For Street Use, It Needs To Be Either +25 Year Old Or Be In Accordance With DOT (Might Be Another Agency, But You Get The Idea) Crash And Emissions Regulations.
And Since The S15 Was Never Marketed In The US, We Don't Have Data/Test Proving They Are In Accordance With Our(US) Crash And Emissions.
Thus Making Them Federally Illegal Cars...Period
I Believe You Can Get One As A Track/Show Car, But Haven't Really Researched That Path. Since I Believe They Are Very Strict On The Miles You Put On It A Year.
And If They Catch You With It.Say Goodbye To All Your Monies!Remember Federal Government > Local Government gamb|ing 26,000 Everyday, Sounds Expensive Doesn't It...
Someone Correct Me If I'm Wrong. How Do I Know This, Did A Little Research When A Prefect R32 Was Offered To Me At 25k.
I Guess I'll Just Have To Wait Till 2014. >:|
