If I Was Super Rich, I Would Of Already Had One.Hopefully This Ain't From The Guy Who Got Caught Importing Whole Cars As Parts Cars, From The Islands.

(From What I Heard) His Skylines Are Getting Seized Left And Right From People Who Actually Registered Them, That's How They Tracked Them Down. As Long As You Don't Try Registering It You Should Be Somewhat Safe.

I know you always type like that but damn, it's hard to read with all those caps in there. lol

If neither one of these things happened to this car, it should be all legit. Like I said, some states are pretty leniant as far as registering imported cars, etc.

dittoz, you don't have to be super rich to buy one..payments would be what around 450 a month for a 26,000 dollar loan?
BasicsIn Order To Legally Import A Car For Street Use, It Needs To Be Either +25 Year Old Or Be In Accordance With DOT (Might Be Another Agency, But You Get The Idea) Crash And Emissions Regulations.

And Since The S15 Was Never Marketed In The US, We Don't Have Data/Test Proving They Are In Accordance With Our(US) Crash And Emissions.

Thus Making Them Federally Illegal Cars...Period

I Believe You Can Get One As A Track/Show Car, But Haven't Really Researched That Path. Since I Believe They Are Very Strict On The Miles You Put On It A Year.

And If They Catch You With It.Say Goodbye To All Your Monies!Remember Federal Government > Local Government gamb|ing 26,000 Everyday, Sounds Expensive Doesn't It...

Someone Correct Me If I'm Wrong. How Do I Know This, Did A Little Research When A Prefect R32 Was Offered To Me At 25k.

I Guess I'll Just Have To Wait Till 2014. >:|

I know how you feel man, there was a mint pearl white r32 gt-r for 8500 when I was in japan..and basically Motorex screwed it all up when they forged the crash tests of the r32 with the r33. As of right now, R33's can only be imported.

I honestly don't think this s15 is worth it, I just wanted to see some imput but basically nzmoman nailed it on the head. For 26K, I'd be looking for an FD, TT supra, or just get a kouki s14 for 10 and drop a rb25 and go all out(probably the last option

Not to be an *** but really why do people think that they can get cars like that? You might be able to register it state wise but the federal government makes it pretty clear on what you can legally import into this country.

http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/CARS/...7.htm which basically states that any car that's built to Canada's safety standards can be brought into this country. This doesn't mean you can buy a car that's been exculded from the 15 year law and bring it in America.

http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/CARS/...8.pdf which is a list of cars that can be imported that don't meet Canada's or America's safety standards. What I'm wanting to do is import a 1994/5 RX7 twin turbo.

well that was uncalled for. nissan would not have made a killing on the s15. it would have been equipped with the ka and been rebadged as a 240sx. the 240sx was discontinued in the states because they didn't sell well enough to justify continuing sales.

My comment was very uncalled for, as was the comment directed to me, I apoligize. And an s15 with a ka wouldn't be bad for a ka-t project IMO

the problem with the s14's was that they were sorta expensive being over 20K for an SE model because they had IRS, RWD and somewhat of a luxury car. Problem is that the KA is a slow engine with no performance potential(other than boosting it :P) and no one really cared about having RWD.

The s15 would've suffered the same thing if it was sold over here and I imagine it would've been the same if not more than the kouki s14's sticker price.
