There's a 1999 Nissan Silvia Spec R that's mainly stock with the exception of a few and minor modifications. It's registered in FL, so theoretically it can be registered in any state in the U.S. He's asking 25,900. Do you think it's worth it?

(Illegally)

Man I want that so bad. Not even close to being worth the money or the risk involved with driving it on the street though.

some states are not as strict when it comes down to importing cars and FL may be one of them. AZ, I hear is very leniant on smog checks and importing cars and I've heard of people driving R34 GT-R's in socal running AZ plates

And according to the "Full Faith and Credit Clause" in the Constitution, a car fully registered in one state should be able to be legally driven in other states.

-There is a white S15 titled and registered in PA. The owner died and his friend took over ownership and takes it to shows, the legality of the situation i really dont know though. Guess it all depends on who you know when it really comes down to it.

looks like it was removed =/

basically it was a bone stock gunmetal s15 with a blitz fmic, blitz downpipe, gold work vsxx wheels that were decently sized(not flush and sitting on stock ride height) and a painted aftermarket spoiler(nice, not rice) for $25,900. Legally registered in FL.

sooooo who made the pen15 as a poll choice? Brizanden? lol

It's not a pen15, it's a math equation.

If I Was Super Rich, I Would Of Already Had One.

Hopefully This Ain't From The Guy Who Got Caught Importing Whole Cars As Parts Cars, From The Islands.

(From What I Heard) His Skylines Are Getting Seized Left And Right From People Who Actually Registered Them, That's How They Tracked Them Down. As Long As You Don't Try Registering It You Should Be Somewhat Safe.

the only reason I would think it is illegal to register that car is if the car didn't go through customs when it was imported or if it was illegally registered in FL. If neither one of these things happened to this car, it should be all legit. Like I said, some states are pretty leniant as far as registering imported cars, etc.

dittoz, you don't have to be super rich to buy one..payments would be what around 450 a month for a 26,000 dollar loan?

lets put this into perspective. a Spec R s15...basically a glorified right hand drive 240 for almost 26grand.

or a 6 speed supra twin turbo, the down payment on a house, a well built s13 or s14 AND a daily driver G35. A year in a foreign country with friends and without working.backpacking across any country on this planet without financial worries.a built Evo.A BMW M series.A few bucks more (an NSX)A twin turbo 350 Z an RB26 powered almost anything.a 2jz powered almost anything

basically, I don't think I would pay that much for a 240 and even though there is some sort of clout to go with the s15, its just another silvia with newer parts and new lines. If I'm going to drop that much on a car its going to have more displacement than 2.0 and its not going to be four cylinders or have questionable legality in some states.

that's just my initial thoughts.

Now as said before, if I was filthy rich, I may consider it as a part of a collection.
