s15 question

Please correct me if I am wrong, but for some reason I have been under the impression that if you import a car as a shell and the motor separately and assemble it yourself you can essentially get it registered as a kit car. I don't really know where I heard this or whether or not it's true, but, in my opinion, it would be a pretty good way to have a legal S15.

it's not that easy. the government is a tad smarter than that.
