well being that this is going to be your first car, hold off on getting an SR, since a rear wheel drive car will be a handful for you anyways.

Makes more sense to me to just buy a 95 or 96 and convert that to the s15 front if that's your intention. You'll save money that way. Or as mentioned before, you can sell the 97 front end when you take it off. But to remove that rare kouki front end.. do you realize what you'd be doing? I know this and I don't even own a 240 anymore!

Removing that front end would be like trying to convert a classic 240z into a 350z. The 350z is nice, but the 240z is a classic. Hope you get my point.

Who cares. The guy'll do what he wants.

Cost wise, depends on what you get with the SR swap.

Additionally, who cares if another 240's sent to a yard cuz of some reckless kid? I personally like being able to go to my local junk yard and finding another 240. I usually make my runs to the yards after the rainy season. Besides, it makes my car that much more valuable knowing that there's gonna be one less on the road and the demand is still high.
