Maybe its just me, but a lot of these cars posted are tacky as ****. Ive yet to see an S14.5 that looks nice... the flat black one is the nicest ive seen so far, and would look great with flush wheels

as far as s13.5... NEVER seen it look nice on a coupe

on a hatch, its that black one with the huge *** wheels, the blue one that was just posted, and the guy on here with a black one... too lazy to dig up a pic, but his and the blue one are the two nicest ive ever seen, period.

There is a full s15 conversion kit that comes w/ quarters and tail lights, front end. Ive seen it for s14s but I hadnt even looked for s13.

I'm glad this thread was made: I've been looking into doing an s15 conversion when tax time comes around, and had MANY questions myself.

Whats funny is that if you take the pictures of the blue hatch and put the front bumper on it from the s14.5, thats pretty much what I am planning.

Those finders look pulled to me: are they?

and what kit is that?

The black S13.5 has rolled and very slightly pulled rear fenders. That's because we wanted to maintain an OEM look front and rear. My friend sold the car a while ago, and I don't think the new owner is on NICO...

One Ton Garage...One Question....Did they Pump the guards on that 180sx?I saw a read up on it, stating how they would rather pump them then put fiberglass guards instead.

I hope im not confusing myself with something else but can you clarify this with me.....Ive actually just bought the bodykit so im planning to have my baby be pretty much identical to that....of course apart from the wheels

So yeah should i pump the guards? I dont really want fiberglass rears

Cheers Matt

I think I know what you mean, but I haven't heard the term "pump" the guards. If you mean pulled the metal out to fit the wheels, then yes, the rear has a "pull." It doesn't look to me like there is much of any pull in the front.

And just so you know, those are no ordinary off the shelf fiberglass s15 conversion fenders. They are custom metal fenders made by splicing the back of an s13 fender onto the front half of an s15 fender. There's a reason that's the cleanest looking s13.5. Because it was made with the utmost detail.

EDIT: Interesting. Upon further research, it seems that "pumping" the "guards" is the Australian term for pulling the fenders.

oneeigh: Yup, the rear fenders on the black S13.5 are slightly pulled... The front fenders are steel, made from welding the OEM S15 front section to the OEM S13 rear section. I'm not sure if I posted this pic in this thread or another one, but here it is again:If you notice we spliced them at an angle, which is the only way to preserve the most integral details of each respective fender (the S13's A-pillar point, body line, and curvature where it meets the front half of the door, and the S15's hood edge interface and slightly flared wheel arch). When you do a straight vertical joint like some people do, you don't get that. A little metal work is required afterwards to blend the two together perfectly... to make sure the curves flow into each other... but it's actually quite minor, and the result is pretty major imo. Back to the rear fenders, I wanted to make sure I didn't pull them too much, so I used the angle and size of the S15 front fender's slight bulge as a guide, and only brought the rear out to match that same angle. It's all little detail stuff, but it adds up in the end...
