After reading EVERY schematic and talking to every wiring specialist. Even bringing my harness to an aviation electionics expert im still close...

As far as i can tell rb20det harness from the factory is incorrect according to both manuals(shop/engine). Unless mine was altered possibly incorrectly to resemble factory......unlikely.

Even the guide listed in the tech section is completely false and is no help what so ever in wiring an rb20det into a 95s14!!! Pin out diagrams are incorrect and unlisted colors or pins to not correlate. The idea is correct tho getting power from F3.

Maybe im the only one having this much trouble but guys the information out there for rb20det into a 240 is all incorrect and misleading just wanted to get some feedback on that. I've been going at this for 3 wks and have solved multiple wiring issues that are even more complicated in minutes with other projects. FEEDBACK on that?

Yes i am aware of many people on this forum that have "used the tech swap guide". Anyone have any problems doing that or finding that massive alterations needed to be done to the harness that are not even listed.

I seriously have wired a b18 ls into a crx in like an hour but this crap is like......OMFG.......seriously i want to know if anyone's gone by info on this site and completed their wiring. Maybe everyone sends it out like your supposed too. (: 500$ SERIOUSLY!!!

Maybe you're over thinking everything..It does not take and aviation electrical engineer to figure it out. To me is common sense, fuel, spark and power. You need to provide power to your computer, injectors, and coils. The power to you injectors and coils can be the same source and the power for your computer powers you sensors. now all you have to do is find what wires powers the ka harness and connect them to the wires from the rb that need the power.

I can do a rb20 in a s13 in 45 minutes max using the write ups. (uncut and unbutchered harnesses) The s14 takes a little longer but what you do is take out the wires you're going to use first, label them and start soldering.

The harness write-ups on here are GARBAGE!! They do not give you enough info on what wires to extend and which plugs to use, ect. I was not about to pay someone $350+ to do something that I was confident enough to do myself. I was originally going to use the harness conversion instructions but after an hour or so trying to interpert them I gave up and started searching for better guidance. I ended up finding a person on Ebay that sells write ups for the RB swap into S13's and 14's and wouldnt have been able to complete the harness without it.

Being a former turbo honda guy myself I know what you mean. Send me and email at [email protected] and I'll try and help you out with the wiring. I'm not 100% done yet and know if it'll work but I'm pretty decent at wiring. I just picked up this stock 95 auto 240 on 07/16/09 from the original owner and I'm about a month away from having hopefully a running rb25 s2 w/ a gt35r lol. I'm a car whore.

I just paid 25 bucks for that same write up... Its a joke and its not accurate at all. He has wrong wires all over the place and there is empty ecu pins where he says there should be ... I had to start from jump cuz I didnt trust his wiring to run my $1200 ecu....

Oh snap! Yes, I just used the word "snap" as an expression in a sentence.

He must have been taking good notes as I was feeding him information over the phone and directing him to the wiring diagrams on your site eh? Pretty annoying that someone is selling information that he didn't even make.

Either way, go to rbforums for the guides and see if those make more sense to you. lyon23 is right though. Once you finish it, you'll be surprised at how easy it was.

Most wiring info is for SKYLINE RB's and many of the motors come from other cars OR was modified in Japan so much of the info on wire color is incorrect. You must use computer pin out and some knowledge of Nissan wiring to get it right......

Did you tap into the tach signal wire running to the ECU and connect it to the F3 plug?

Here is the 95 S14 F3 plug pinout I use. Worked perfect for me.
