Quick question that i have not found a definite answer for, on s14's do you have to rewire the main power supply to the fuel pump with a 30a relay? My car currently has a walbro but ive been fighting electrical problems.

I would say yes...I have not done it to my cars yet but as soon as I get back to the states it's going to get done ASAP. I think some of my problems with my S14 is because of this.

I got this some where here sorry I can't give credit.....

For S13:using a bosch style 30a relay with 5 pins, tapping into harness by fuel pump and using all 12G wire.

85 = white/purple from connector side86 = connect to blue/red from tank side, then take both to chassis ground USE87 = white/purple from tank side30 = connect to positive battery terminal, inline 30a fuse near battery

For S14:85 = Black/yellow from connector side86 = connect to Black from tank side, then take both to chassis ground87 = Black/yellow from tank side30 = connect to positive battery terminal, inline 30a fuse near battery

Thanks for the reply, im really starting to think its the root of my problems.

Would some of the problems with the s14 have to do with the eccs system relay and startup issues?

huh when I installed my walbro, I just poped it into the holder and spliced the wires to the brackets wires. Put it back in the tank and plugged up the fuel lines and the power connector, did not mess with any relay. I have a 95

You dont have too, but I would suggest it.

That being said, Ive been lazy and haven't gotten around to it yet. Ive been running the stock wiring for 4 years now with my SR and walbro with no problems.
