Mine as of a few weeks ago.

Took these before a drift event in Seattle at Pacific Raceways.

Some Action Shots from said event.

From the formula d track and evergreen speedway that same night, notice the otis spunkmeyer

I have to take updated pics, as I completely rewired the car, and it now is fully racecar style wiring.

Looks nice! Very well done swap.

I do have to ask why you sliced up the core support though.

Well, being that its a custom swap, I had to pull the engine so many times to get the fit just right, that caused a lot of hassle with the rad support in place. The sr is a lot longer with the transmission attached then the 4age's that were in the car before. It took my pull time from 45 mins to 15 mins by cutting it. Please note, I did this swap in my townhouse's single car garage. I have the rad support being covered with an aluminum piece that I am making. It will look a bit nicer.

Thats pretty badass man. What did you use to rewire the car? Ive been thinking about using a Painless Wiring kit on a race car I am building.

Good job actually following through with something different like that, most people come in and ask if it can be done, I can usually tell those are people who will never ever do it, its nice to see there are still gearheads out there.

My hats off to you man, have fun with it.

I had an issue with the way I wired the Nissan to Toyota wires. The way it was wired was causing some weird back feed of power through the ECU from somewhere, which cause 2 ecu's to burn. The that burned was Pin 45, IGN power. The 2 diodes popped, which happened when I stalled the car, both times. After some figuring, I figured that the alternator to car wiring was one of the problem circuit s. As you may already know, a diode is like a 1 way valve for power. Well it seemed that the way the stock corolla wiring for the alt circuit was allowing power to flow for a second after the car was off on a few wires. Well that was the cause. I decided to wire the car "race car" style, as it is pretty much a track car. So I separated the car and engine like described below. This is how my whole car is powered and controlled, and after testing, it works way better, and is easier to diagnose.

(12v +)Alternator -> Battery -> Kill Switch ->

-> Kill Switch -> Power Distribution Block -> -> Power Distribution Block -> Fuel Pump Relay Power-> Power Distribution Block -> Fan Relay Power-> Power Distribution Block -> Starter Main Power-> Power Distribution Block -> Moroso 6 Switch Panel with 20A Breakers ->

-> Moroso 6 Switch -> Starter Trigger Power-> Moroso 6 Switch -> IGN Power ->-> Moroso 6 Switch -> Fuel Pump Relay Trigger-> Moroso 6 Switch -> Acc Power ->-> Moroso 6 Switch -> Fan Relay Trigger-> Moroso 6 Switch -> Lights (for gauges)

->IGN Power -> All ECU Powers, and Power to Alternator regulator, all fused individually via 12 circuit fused power distribution block

->Acc Power -> All Gauge Powers, and O2 Sensor Power all fused individually via 8 circuit fused power distribution block

-> Kill Switch -> Toyota Power for Headlights, Brake Lights, Stereo, Etc

(Negative/Ground)Battery -> Ground Distribution Block -> Chassis

->Ground Distribution Block -> ALL GOUNDS (Engine Block, ECU, O2, Switches, Relays, Gauges)

That basically covers the way I wired it up. I will take some pics this weekend before the drift event on Sunday. I think that the way it is wired now makes a lot of redundant fusing, but that will help me diagnose any circuit if there is a problem.

That is basically how the painless kits are set up, though they have a few more switches, and they come with all the fuses, panels and switches.

True, but the painless way is more money. All in all, it is the same way.

I get big discounts on stuff like that, (connections at the hot rod shop) so Id like to do things the right way, plus, in a rallycar, I need easy repeatability.

There is actually a pretty big front mount there, see pic below, as it is a race car, and boost lag is bad, I kept the intercooler a reasonable size. The intercooler is still able to flow for 400-500hp, and that is just ridiculous in a corolla. 300hp - 350hp is plenty for such a light car.

Went down to the Evergreen Speedway drift competition, it was fun. My car actually did not break, so I got to go through the whole competition. It was fun.

A few Pics taken by others at the event.

Thanks.

Well to update some more. My alternator is not working properly, so instead of putting a KA24DE alternator in, which is over priced at parts stores, I am putting a GM 1 Wire alternator on. Why? Well here are some of the points:

1.) Cheap. A NEW 1 wire alt runs for 95.00.2.) Available at EVERY parts store in the US and Canada. 3.) The bolts are VERY close, so minor mods.

I will post pics if people are interested. I still have to post updated pics of my wiring/switch setup.

Yesterday...Some more progress pics.

Today....

Alternator bracket finished. Installing tonight.

Here are some details, the GM alternator pulley position is the same center to the bracket as the stock alternator. The alternator is not modified so that a quick replacement can be had. I am using the S14 alternator pulley on top of the GM alternator fan, so that the alternator keeps cool. The Nissan alternators don't have fans, but they are vented more than the GM unit. I was thinking of spending the 30 bucks more and getting the blinging chrome alternator that you can get, but I thought, that is 30 bucks I can spend on a big steak. Yummy. Pics...
