In a world of hondas, a monster will be brought back to life. My s14. Plans are for a DD drift concoction. I've come here to learn from you all and hopefully share this gem in progress. Although this will take time to be finished, i trust you guys to head me into the right direction.

About 3 weeks ago i picked up a clean 1995 240sx with 181,xxx miles for $1900. Only problem was a ceased caliper, Sold. :gapteeth: Pics or it didn't happen!

im curious what the helper spring does? is it a softer ride or does it move the piston to the best operating range?

so you wanna get rid of your trunk interior if its clean?

These bolts in the driveshaft are being a real pain. My box end wrenches are too big to get a grip on the bolt head. I might have to wiz them off with a cutoff tool. Any tricks to get these bishez off?

I just stuck a ratchet on one side and a wrench on the other... Maybe I got lucky?

I lubed them up with tears and it worked. Serious note, I got 3 off really easy, and the fourth was a b****. I soaked it in penetration oil, tapped it with a hammer, and ended up stripping the bolt head. I ended up just taking some vice grips to that b**** squeezing it really hard (kinda like when you don't want to "release" and potentially have a child). That seems to work.

from what i remember the bolt head is locked against the yoke and the nut is the only part that spins. and you should be able to get a craftsman 14mm box end wrench on it. not a ratchet wrench but just a regular. so how about those helper springs. what is the purpose?

and what the hell was that diff welded with. what welder? i know its flux core :nono: but what brand and size welder?

also i see you have abs... any interest in swapping everything out for non abs? im looking to convert my car over to abs. LOVE IT

Thoes bolts came off easy for me /flex lol, but seriously put some PB blaster or WD40 so it loosens it up and get some good leverage on it =D

I lowered the front about an inch more..this pic is a day outdated!

The welded diff was definately a project installing. I had to customize bushings that go through the "ears" of the diff. Paid off..now i have a spare Vlsd. Quick question...is there a break in period of a welded diff? The rear doesn't chirp as bad anymore..

like i asked before, what did you weld it with. it looks like a harbor freight welder. which if it is then its probably blown up already.
