Not many people run the S15 SR man. I moved your thread into here hoping SOMEONE would chime in, but so far, no good. :( I'll do some looking tonight, since my internet seems to be working correctly again.

I WILL have an answer for you by tomorrow evening. Just bare with me. (Ask some of the guys in this forum if there is anything I haven't found yet that I've looked for.;) )

240sxmotoring has them all listed as the same part. Seems they might all be interchangeable. It won't hurt anything to try his, and it takes less than 20 minutes to swap one out.

Just got confirmation for you. S13, S14, and S15 all use the same CAS. ;)

Do you have a thread with your issue? If so, and I'm already in it attempting to help you, I'm sorry but I don't remember, so link me to it. I just want to see what you've done and what you haven't. When you swapped the CAS, did you actually take the valve cover off and reset your cam timing?

You'll need a 24mm socket.

Take socket and rotate the exhaust cam until your crank pulley notch. 2nd one from the left is lined up with the pin.
Then check and see if your intake cam's key is at 10 o'clock and your exhaust cam's key is at 12 o'clock.
If not, do it one more time. It reaches this point once per every 2 times you turn it over to that position.
Once you're there, look at the notches on the cams, and make sure you have 9 links between them. That's 11 if you're including the links right above the notches, as well. If so, your mechanical timing is dead-on and you're now at TDC on cylinder #1. Reinstall your CAS. You'll line up 1 dot and then once inserted it'll rotate around to the next dot. Your CAS should be dead centered on the bolts with the dot lined up.

Here's a link with images from a NICO Sponsor. http://www.frsport.com/How-To-Set-Crank ... _t_25.html

Note: You don't need to have the colored links on the chain line up. Those are for the initial install of the chain.

I definitely recommend you do it the way I just posted. It's a 20 minute job...

When you installed the other CAS, you needed to do this to set the timing correctly with the CAS, so if you didn't do this, your timing is now off, and your CAS may have very well been the issue.

I'm going to have to go with what White Comet said in your other thread, then..
