We finished it up yesterday, took some pics today, but the RHD RB20 S14 is done.

The 15 front goes back on tommorrow and paint next week. If anyone is considering doing the RHD conversion, it's no fun, but well worth it in the end. RHD is very different and takes alot of getting used to. We have another 14 to do next week, and the convertible. At least we don't have to sweat every time we get pulled over thinking the po po's gonna figure out our real Silvia is not a conversion. Sorry for the quality but we will have better pics later on our site. http://www.e-emotorsports.com

The full conversion would normally take a week to do. The wiring was a full days work, close to 100 wires had to be extended, and we solder everything. We don't know yet if we will be doing too many more, it's alot of work, contact us if you're interested, it's not cheap. [email protected]

Why the hell would you do that? Do you live in a Nazi state like Cali? That's the only pro I see. Does RHD make your car faster? or handle better? The only benefits would be aesthetics and uniqueness far as I see. But that's not what I'm about. Don't get me wrong, I admire your work, I just don't know why you did it. For me, that money could be better spent. It is pretty crazy coo' JDM tyte though!!

hey have you driven that car yet on the street? I was contemplating on doing the RB20 swap but I saw that nobody else had it in a s14. So your the first s14 w/RB20 that I have seen. How much easier/harder is it than the RB25? If you can email me that would be great thanks alot

We like the RB20's in the S14's, feel very nice, and like it belongs. RB's feel more like they belong in S14's than S13's. The install wasn't bad, we do this stuff all day long so it's like clockwork for us. The main reason we did it was because now at lunch we can go to Checkers or Krystals and go through the opposite side drive thru easier. JK Gotta be different than everyone else with a 240. Plus RHD is Mad JDM Tyte. 240sxjeff email me at [email protected] if you have any questions. I got 3 more RHD to do in the next month or so, so I'll post more pics, maybe a writeup for everyone else thinking about it.

You have 18's on a 240. Don't talk about useless mods.

harsh but nice,lol.

anywayz i'd like to have my S13 changed to RHD just for the kool factor.....and to mess with people.(tho some would prolly start callin me mail carrier, lol).

it really does look kool and doesn't it give ya some clearance around the turbo?

Yes, RHD can provide alot of room for bigger turbos and placement issues. But it's a bit difficult to get used to, I kept hitting the winshield wipers while trying to turn, and shifting quickly at first is a bit problematic but it's not that bad. Vision on the road sucks sometimes but going through drivethroughs I'm sure would be funny. (BTW, I don't have a RHD car, had a friend with one.)

Oh, and I wasn't trying to be *too* mean, but c'mon...it seemed a bit hypocritical.

Heh, I drove a JDM S14 a little...wow, that was SOOOO hard to do... it'd be easier if the transmission was mirrored.

Driving on the right side of the car does take some getting used to, but after a few hours, I was good to go. I can shift just as fast left handed as I can right handed now.

Now, when I am back in the states and driving there, I have the habbit of hitting the winshield wiper leaver when I want to turn. Thats gotta be funny to see....

"Hey, look at that idiot, he has his winshield wipers on and there isn't a cloud in the sky."

We still retained the USDM turn/wiper controls, no JDM ones. It does take getting used to though, no racing for a couple of days.

Actually I would think the cop would be happy since he doens't have to stand on the street side of your car, with a RHD he would be standing in the grass and be safer from traffic flow.

I think RHD conversion on a car in the USA is a waste of time, and only done to be different.

Different is not always better.

But if you like it, HAVE FUN.

Uhm... why would you WANT your car to be RHD in america? They have it RHD in japan and england because the roads are the opposite of ours. Have fun never being able to use a drive thru again.

cause we don't have it here in America, don't you know that we want everything?.

actually its cause if somebody has the resources and wants to do it, and cause they like it....they do it, remember this part is all opinion based, yyou and others say its stupid, others say they want.
