So I've having this weird issue with my HVAC. A couple weeks ago my blower started only working when the fan is turned up all the way. Doesn't matter what output position is is set to. I initially though this must be a problem with the HVAC controller so I got a new one from someone on the forums here. Got the new unit, put it in, same problem. I have checked all the HVAC related fuses and nothing. Has anyone else experienced this problem? My next guess would be relay but I am not sure which one would be related.

i have the same problem with mine, it also doesn't close the vents when the dial is switched to the off position, actually i don't think it switches vents at all (i haven't really played with it since last summer). i'll be on the hunt for a solution when i get some more time to play around with the car.

I had the same issue several years ago. There is a sensor that looks like a credit card (can not think of the technical name.) It is located under the passinger side dash. It fails then you are left with a fan that only works on 4.

You just need to order the new part from Nissan and replace it. It takes maybe 5 min. or less to do. I will check my manual when I get home to see if I can find a part number/name.

Yes and no.

The unit you speak of is the blower motor resistor, not a sensor. When it fails you are left with either full speed or no speed at all.

If you go looking for a sensor you will be hard pressed to find it, just call your local parts store and ask for the blower motor resistor, they should be able to get you one, or get you a part #, it may be a dealer only part.

Thanks for the correction. I actually noticed that I called it the wrong thing when I looked it up on my part sheets tonight. Here is the part number incase you want it. 27150 41B00 it lists around $17.07

Installed the resistor yesterday. Fixed the problem :-) the old one was visible burnt out :-o I also replaced the blower motor and cleaned everything out... it's sooo much quieter now.
