s13 sr blacktop into s13 only spark in one cylinder

I swapped it out and I'm running a j4 ecu. I've heard that j4 ecu's aren't compatible with some harnesses i have two harnesses and i tried them both and no luck. i put in a e5 ecu and i got no spark whatsoever. i changed out the ignitor chip, ecu, and coil packs to no avial. timing seems to be in the right position as well the cas. Any help is appreciated. text me at 928-287-9532 if you have had the same problem.
