s13 front ends are so flimsy its unbelievable. the engine bay back to the c-pillars need aftermarket reinforcement badly... Take it to the track one day and you'll be lucky if you can close your doors perfectly at the end of the day.

but when it comes down to it... I ABSOLUTELY love the look of the kouki 180sx... its the reason why I went s13 in the first place... for the looks. Of course, its a subjective statement... but c'mon.. its like driving a mini corvette or something. Gotta love pop-ups or any other front end too low for legally fixed headlights.
its funny you said that, i looked up in my OLD car&driver articles when they did a test of the S14 SE back in '95, they said that Nissan increased bending and torsional stiffness by more than 400%!! now most companies increase of 20-30% increments, but 400% is either a typo or the s13 is weak is hell that nissan had to get it right, which technically the s14 torsional stiffness is close to the 93+ supra, (dont quote me on s*** its only what i read) but I'm inclined to believe Car&Driver because I drive my S13 in SE MI roads and and it needs chassis bracing big time! never driven an s14, I cant wait.

s14 zenki's look disgusting without a conversion.
S14 Zenki's are legit as hell mang so have to disagree on your comment big time

But as for choosing one over the other, ive also owned both an s13 and s14 and switching over from an s13 to an s14 was night and day for me!

That's a gorgeous Zenki, it's Matt somethings I remember reading about it on speedhunters, he's an amateur drifter trying to go pro i think.

personally, i love the s13 coupe with a silvia front end conversion. i used to own a hatch but had no love for it. s14s are totally not my style, i dont like the body lines at all.

it took me forever to find a S13 coupe and now that i have one im never getting rid of it and i plan on making it a silvia clone. my silvia love goes way back to the 90's when i used to see them in video games and used to love to play with them. the body lines just scream sex to me. i also have a thing for 80's cars so thats why the s13 coupe is just so perfect to me. its everything ive ever looked for and wanted in a cars styling. i think the s13 coupe and silvia are the best looking cars ever made.

I love the interior styling of a s14... It reminds me of my old 97 maxima se, But I really just love the exterior of a s13, and the interior is great just a little more of a sporty feel rather than the hint of luxury. I just wish s14 door pannels would fit in my s13...

i like s14 better all around, zenki's look like sex when touched right ....cant go wrong with a kouki s14 in pearl white or shiny shiny black. but if they made kouki 180 with an s14 looking interior it would defiantly be the winner.

i think the s13 is better than the s14.....the s14 doesnt look good with a front conversions and the kouki is the only one that looks good in the s14, the s13 looks good with any front conversion no matter if its a silvia conversion, s15 conversion s14 conversion, hell the car looks good with NO front end on it. Plus its more based on the driving experience rather than comfort and luxury. The S13 gives you the full driving experience and the best "feel" of the car.Ive driven both the s13 and s14 zenki/kouki and liked the s13 the best. Also to add the s13 has an option for coupe or hatch! You can choose which styling you get and you if your in the market for a s14 you can pick up a s13 coupe and hatch for a lot less than a s14. (i picked up a 1991 s13 hatch for $600 at a local auction, it had 140k miles and it was DOHC 5 speed) clean too!

s13 hatch, hands down.

proof?

i just bought my 6th 240, owned a coupe (4-5 months, was okay at best) , and an s14 zenki (year and a half, had it on craigslist about 20 times for sale). s13 chuki hatch is just perfect in everyway. ill have to adjust to pignose and E of my recent purchase tho i dont mind this thread at all, its nice to see the opinions of other 240 owners, keep em coming.

owner of 240's for 6 years, and i gotta say kouki s14 is the only competition to the chuki hatch...altho id love to own a vert someday
