I own a datsun 280z and will hopefully soon be getting a 240sx from the salvage yard with a blown motor, this looks hard, but like something I'm willing to attempt, even if it means failing, it seems to be worth a shot.

Well my cars still not fully painted green just the engine bay and the jambs i got held up by the motor now the heads getting redo too.

But i thought about the headlight covers. They do look good i may still get them.

It dose look funky from the wrong angle but straight front on the car is sexy as hell mean looking. i got a full kit now so it should look better. Ill post pics when ever its all done. i expect over the next half a year it will be done.

LOL he named his tag after a sidewinder missle (AIM-9 is the armament code) i'd like to know what he's running now to see if the tag and flashy looks back it up

It's funny i have my 180sx with the 280zx front end conversion with extremension side skirts and rear kit but! I still dont even know who origanaly made the front conversion. I mean where did ppl get this done or buy it? I caint seem to track it down. And let me tell you its really crapy to fix your front bumper and fenders all the time no matter how bad they get busted wheil driftign because u caint buy replacments. thats my only problem. The bumers lower secion is so wavy now and full of fill lol. Aw well i like the look though.

This is where im at right now with to redo of paint and bodywork.
When i forst had it.

After i had smashed it up and I am still tring to pay for the engine build i had done. I will paint it when the motor gets back in and runs in the spring.
Note the bodypanels and not bolted together here just sitting on the car loose
Image
the read bumper is fully molded to the car now and looks good i just caint get my camara working so these are older pics :chuckle:

I like it, but molding the bumper to the car and drifting will suck. When that bumper rips off it will take paint and bondo with it.

To bump this thread. I think that this conversion needs to be done to a hatch that I or one of my friends owns in the future...mmmmmm
yup, with a VQ30 or VH45 swap. Has to be turbo. I'd do something along the lines of the red one. Yup, with the wing. Yes, I like it like that. needs a different rear bumper though.

Oh man. I want. Yinno, until Nissan decides to stop messing around and recreate the S30 with a lower roofline. yup.

Edit: I'd have to stop myself from going retro crazy though...yinno, the cowl hood from the blue 180z, some rear window louvres... fuzzy dice :lolling:

They all need to be lower and have meshies or negative offset 15 or 16s with overfenders. Until then, these all suck. sorry...

Don't do it. The Z front ends belong on z's not anything else.

Nice. I have been thinking of this conversion recently. I think is looks decent. People usually complain about the rear looking weird, but I figure if you take off the rear crash bar and make a smooth rear pan with a spot for the plate. It would give it more of a 240z feel. Also shave the rear side markers. I have contemplated lately to make a hybrid of this conversion using the pignose. It'll probably look hideous, but If I get bored and happen to have a Z front end to play with I want to try it.

top speed? lol this cars a drift car sideways not many cars are areodynamic lol. But i might play with the rest of the car once i have to repair it maybe flat rear end like ABOVE said and also some wide quarter panels and big offset rear rims. :)

I saw a S3080SX in a car lot the other day. I found it so detestable I contemplated buying it just to rip that silly front end off.

The R32 nose works well on the S13.
