I'm in the market for an FMIC kit to fit my s13 w/ s15 silvia front end conversion, and s13 blacktop sr20det, and all I've found on ebay that matched my liking/price range was an s14 intercooler kit. My question is, what is it about the s14 kits that wouldn't fit my s13? If it's the mounting brackets I can easily modify those, however the intercooler and piping might not be so simple. Anyone have an answer to this?

The kit can be found here http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem

the cold pipe on the S14 kits is made to meet with the S14 intake manifold, the S13 throttle body is at a differant angle, I have an S13 motor in my S14 and I used the S13 kit,

if you have a s13 chassis with a s13 engine. I think it should be common sense that you would use a s13 intercooler kit. The front end conversion has nothing to do with it.

Spend more money and get a better quality intercooler kit. You can get a nice greddy m spec for around 350-400 dollars.

Yes, I realize the obvious choice would be an s13 kit, however the reason I ask is because I'm actually very very good at modifying things, for instance, I did my s15 silvia conversion myself without a kit.

Trust me, I'd love nothing more than to have a Greddy FMIC, had one on my last setup and it was great, however right now my son is in the hospital and my money is dwindling, just want something to get me on the road for now.

Thanks to you all for your help!

hahaha sucks for you i claim bull****. but anyway i ordered 4 times through them no problems. Talk to chung hell help you out. The do offer a refund within the 30 days of purchase. Plus if it was your fault of course they wont refund you. lol. either way with your setup its going to require some sort of modification. f.e. s13 with s14 blacktop since the throttle body is slightly different you have to do a little pipe cutting and rearranging. either way its gonna be fun. lol.
