Ok I'm looking for someone out there with a R32 or skyline clip who could possibly anwer this.

The A31 actually uses a S13 shock tower and suspension for the 2wd and a R32 GTR shock tower and suspension for the awd (with the exception of being 4 lug)

(I don't own any of these cars nor the rights to the pics but these are the best shots of shock towers I could find lol)

This gave me the probably false idea that I could drill out the welds and remove my shock tower and replace it with one from a r32 and steal the whole suspension.

If anyone has got the basic dimensions from a R32 shock tower I'd like to have them. or know anyone who does. I need the width of the seems and the hieght I'll be posting an example using my S13 shock towers.

Thanks in advance to anyone with any info.

what are you trying to do?
you got s13 and you want to use r32 front strut towers? (it is possible on s14 i have seen it) I did that a different way with out the strut towers, but i got s14. (but next time if i would do the same swap again i would use the towers)

Yes thats exactly what i wanted to do.

From what I've seen its no where near a direct fit. I kinda thought after seeing the A31 and N31 it maybe possible that you pop out the welds and basically replace a shock tower.

Well great build man seeing it done I may try it but its not as easy as I hoped.

:) its not my build.... ask him for dimensions
i got the idea from this guy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQ7tLycXUfo
Google s13 awd i think his name is joe and see what he did (adapted the r32 spindle to s13 strut)
here found it

(I had my machined that way, no welds)

o ya muy bad yea I seen his had trouble figuring out what he did then I finally found it and I'm not really enthusiastic about trying that it just seemed all kinds of f*** up yours look 10x better.

My other idea to keep it 4 lug (got some bad a** 4lug rims still in box) would be to simply copy the dimensions of a s13 lower conrol arm and make a A arm that would keep the same geometry but use 98 Altima spindles (assuming the GTR axles would be splined the same) make my own cross memeber and mounting points. and the reason I thought that up was because people use the front coil overs from a S13 the main problem I found with that was the steering geometry is totally diffrent on the two spindles the main problem being the Altima spindle steers from top and the S13 steers from bottom.

I may still keep the A arm idea if I stay 2wd though the whole tension rod holding a flemsy lower control bar sucks a** I hit a curb drifting one night my old control arm became a U
