hey thx chief, see wut i mean about how it cleans everything up? i kno wut u mean about keeping it basic, i didnt kno u would have to modify further. ya i can do that, unfortunately i have been neglecting the JZ guys, but i didnt think i had enough progress to really make a big deal about it. plus there isnt usually alot of traffic which is a little lame sometimes . im serious about one of those stickers tho!

For sure you have to hit the states some time. If you are in the midwest let me know. AMS tuning is pretty close to where i live.

Hey Guys, im back from New Zealand and im ready to revive this thread, ill post a couple cool pics from there a little later on.

Well today, im just putting the stupid tie rods on. Omg there such a PIITA to get the old ones off, does anybody have any tips? I can't get the right one off to save my life..

Once thats all done up ill post some pics, should be hooking up the brake and clutch master today.. brake lines getting the car roll able so we can tow it to the fabricator guys house

anyways hope to see some of the old faces creepin in here on this thread, cuz i definately haven't let it die, just biding my time is all!

edit. tech2 just waiting to get a weeks work under my belt before i send the $$ down to them to pay for it.

What kind off tie rods are you putting on? I just installed my tien tie rods and tie rod ends(stock type). I am guessing your problem is with the retainers on the stock tie rods. Those are a pita for sure. What i did was completely destroy mine to remove them and then realizing that i didn't actually need them with the spacer that came with it for increased angle.

I had to use the end of my jack handle on the end of my wrench to get the inner tie rod off. and for the ball joint i just unbolted it and hit it with a hammer since i wasn't using it again.

hope that helps, good luck!

Still looking hot dude, I can't wait to see it done.

Hey, a little bit off topic but, since you're in New Zealand how common are RB30e blocks honestly? Because I've been trying to track down someone who can pick me up a short block and I've heard they go for dirt cheap in NZ and Australia.

yeah stance is pretty nice i need to put some 15mm spacers on the back to make it perfect. and really get a good suspension tuning session going on to get it perfect. But there arent any shots from behind really yet, no point. Im not gunna put the bodykit back on until the car is running, and tuned up and shiz, cuz like i dont wanna scratch anything since i got it all repainted. BUT! soon...

this gives u a little better idea maybe

thx man. me too. im back in alberta now, but yeah the rb30 blocks are WAY more common over there than here. Theres a few guys on the Silvia NZ sight that have done the swap, im sure u could get on there and find out everything u need to kno.
