S13 240: Coupe vs Hatch

What are your thoughts on both of these styles. I cant decide which one to get. Anyone have pics of both next to each other or something? Is it just me or are the taillights different?

Not always, I don't have a rear wiper. And you obviously have a crayon stuck up your nose and its blurring your vision, the fastback looks so much better.

i like the fastback better, i think its looks more like a sports car , and i own a 91 fastback, so that partly why i like them better i guess

But why are you asking other peoples opinions...decide what you like and get it. I have yet to make one car decision in which I took other people's advice, and I'm doing just fine...

Hey wheres the ragtop? Im more into ragtops b/c i live in a Southern state and surf alot. more room for the 6' Sunshine I surf on. Sad part is i have a FB but want a convertable.

I like the Coupes more because they can be Silvias, but I think the Fastbacks look better when they are modified.

I have a fastback, but if the opportunity presented itself, I couldn't say I wouldn't go with a Coupe. And I don't like Sil Eighties, so I can't do a Silvia face conversion

However, SCC said something about the coupe having a more rigid/stiff frame b/c of the extra material/length, and the extra handling prowess matters more to me than the slight aesthetic difference.

coupes looks like a old generation integ, the fastback can look like the 180 which is nice....even though the s13 are old the fastback makes it better looking, the coupes from the back you can tell it's a old car, but if you get the 180 taillight people won't know what the hell you got!

Agreed. Fastbacks look like a dated sports car. The coupe still retains a recent and sporty image. It's all subjective, though.

Ill still sell my opionion though I dont know how anyone could love the way a coupe looks, sorry guys, i just made you angry. Thats just my opinion though. The fastback is sssoooooo SEXY!!

I personally like the s13 hatchback the most. I do not like a stock s13 coupe, but I do like s13 silvias or a coupe with a silvia front-end conversion. I hate the look of sil80s. Blah

My first car was a 91' fb, and while I owned it never liked the coupe trim. Then unfortunately and not due to myself (3rd hand on the wheel thinking it was funny) it slammed into a tree back in 97'.

Ive had a s14 for I believe 3 yrs on this very day. Since owning the s14 my love for the styling of the s13 coupe has grown considerably. So much so If I buy another it will have to be a coupe. I got my gf to buy a 92' fb. She doesnt see how I like the coupe better and we are divided on this.

Besides the coupe is not only slighty more rigid (I believe it has to do with the trunk and rear deck material as bracing) but a little lighter as well.

Fastbacks are cool but the coupe has all the style and class... and the added framing over the trunk does make the coupe more rigid...

The coupe's only look good on the s14's, I think they're pretty ugly on the s13's. ( no offense to you s13 coupe owners)

as long as its a nissan its a good choice.

Stylewise i am going to go with the fastback. Ya its not as stiff in the rear but nothing a strut brace can't fix. the coupe does have some cool features though, HUD, power sunroof. Wasn't enough to change my mind though.
