hey y'all, first post.

anyway i've a 91 coupe. there are few hatchbacks i like, mainly because if i wanted something that looked like an 89 probe i'd buy a probe. but hey i still like some hb's.

Not sure. The junkyard I bought it through, my friends dad's yard( he got the car from a wrecked car auction), says its a 90. Cuase he said thats what it said when he looked it up on the VIN. But it came with a DOHC(even though it didn't run, so I got a 93 KA in there now). I'm guessing it didn't come stock with the power sunroof, but whoever had it before me probably turned it into one.

saying that fastback looks like a probe would be like saying the coupe looks like a prelude. hell, if u try hard enough u can say it resembles a porsche. and would u really buy a probe? overweight, underpowered, FWD. its sad really.

Fastback is my preference.....Coupes are easier to find for sell though. Also most aftermarket aero-kit companies agree the Fastback is a better looking car(tons of kits available).....that is why it is much harder to find kits for the coupe...because they just don't make many kits for the coupe. In my opinion the only thing the coupe has going for it over the fastback is a stiffer chasis; however, still more professional drifters pick the fastback over the coupe. and even the drift specific machine nissan produced (sileighty) was indeed a fastback!

so there you have it:1. aftermarket companies like the fastback more.2. professional drifter like the fastback more.\3. nissan produced the sileighty for drifting...fastback

but get what YOU want, not what I or anyone else tell you to get.

Personally, I think the Coupe looks too much like a Stanza from the back, considering they share the same lights.

the coupe has .5" less headroom in the front seats, but 1" more in the back, as well has more leg room ( wow...more you say) in the rear seating area. The coupe is also shorter in overall length.

Those are the only physical differences...so get what you like!

in their american stock form, i like the hatchback. However, if i were to get one it would be the coupe. The coupe is ugly with the pop up lights imo, but if you swap the front end and create the silvia, it is beautiful. Much better looking than the hatch if the coupe has the fixed silvia lights front end.

With me it all depends on the car. Stock I think that the popup headlights look best on the HB. However I have seen HBs I don't like because of missing small spoiler or other details. I like coupes because they are hard to come by down here and the way they look minus the popups; they look pretty sporty to me. I would only get a hatchback if it was the Bee*R HB or Bomex, I absolutely hate stock look and some kits. What I would really want is a Sil-Eighty. With a coupe I would only like it if it had the S13 conversion as I hate the popuplights on a coupe.

What would really be different is a convertible with strawberry face conversion. This would give you the Varietta look :)

I like my coupe without a spoiler, but with the factory spoilers I like the fastbacks more.

i'm a little confused here. you would only get a coupe with a silvia face...or a HB with a Silvia face and a bomex or bee kit. so which do you have?
