i'm assuming that you can use all the SR intake/ exhaust components as long as the manifold is made correctly.

The intake cold pipe must be from an S13 though, as the S14 has a different throttle body position.

when u cut the sr flange off and put the ka flange on the turbo manifold did all the holes and stuff line up or did u have to tweak it a bit? cause it sounds like i and get the sr manifold from SScrhome and get a ka flange and it should work. well granted that there are not too much tweaks to be done

the port spacing is the same.

i tweaked mine by squaring the runners.

my friend did not, and he also swapped the turbine flange to use a T3.

in order to use the SR o2 housing and downpipe, you need to extend the runners slightly, or clock the manifold a bit. probably best done with the car there so you're sure nothing interferes.

Ace when you said to extend the runner did u mean from the head flange or from the turbo flange and how much? how do you square the runners? It seems this will definitily be the setup of my next 240.

extend runners from the head flange to place the turbo further from the block (not that it'll hit the block, but the downpipe might hit the transmission). You don't need to do this if you're making your own O2 housing/ downpipe, or if you're using a T3.

Squaring the runners = making the circular shapped piping more square looking.

ok cool about how far over did u have to move it?

i know making them more square to match the ports but how did you? your friend that didnt do this, does it overlap any of the flange ports?

I'm guessing it overlaps the ports since he didn't do it (i never saw his mani in person, as of yet). as far as how far to move it... i'd say .75", but it'd be easier to just do it on the car so you know for sure. My measurements were already off once.... so depending on how accurately the flange is clocked it may differ slightly.

FA has a lot more of the veteran 240SX mail list members. Tehre is a lot of knowledge there. Many of those guys are also the ones that discussed and tried out somewhat innovative thinks like the hacked MAF. I don't post there much, I but know many of them from the email list. Only a handful of the veterans on the email list seem to post here. Oh, how I miss the email list. Or at least all the discussions on it. We see so few messages there now. Amazingly Dave Alexander still keeps it open for us. despite the fact he doesn't even own a 240 anymore.

Hey WD. What's the status on your turbo kits? Haven't heard a peep in awhile and we're almost into March :D

What about the T28 as you may want to use later?
