bolted. at least, these are, the C/F section is molded/layed into a tube form, with 2-4 holds in the ends, then glued and bolted to the driveshaft joints.(I think, intereestingly, the holes might be drilled..)

but that may not be the case with all of them.-chet

Ive read sumwhere that cf driveshafts bend on extreme stress......

Its proly bs, the new Z has cf driveshaft, and if geniuses at Nissan Japan says it werks, it must werk.

they dont "bend" they warp a bit, as does every driveshaft under "extreme" strees, such as a drag launch, a C/F driveshaft just bends more then others, but heres the omportant part:-it rebounds quickly and progessivly back to its origional state.

alluminum and steel bend, bend, bend, bend bend...BREAK. they dont have good elasticity because they are so rigid, which is fin, until it breaks. its like over torquing a stud/nut combo on a car. when you brak it off, the stud twists inside it sefl a bit before it breaks. same thing happens there again, only under "extreme" shock-loading/stress.

C/F also brooms when it breaks, which is much safer tahn having a chunk of alluminum flying around under your chassis.

just my thoughts.-chet
