I wanted to make sure the Ruckus-Racing mounts allowed for the stock intake manifold. The only pics I could see are with the aftermarket intake manifold.

Has anyone seen this combo first hand?

Also, does anyone know if it sits the engine/transmission just like Top Hat mounts?

I've also sent this to him personally (no reply yet), but I just wanted to see some customer/witness reviews as well.

Im using them with Nismo isolators and my hood closes fine on the stock intake mani. I was wondering this same thing when I ordered them, but rest assured it fits!

I'm glad you happened to be one who replied. I sent you an email about 15 minutes ago about something else.

That's what Im afraid of...especially since I have Nismo KA replacements. Push comes to shove, I'll just have to buy some of those E30 mounts.

Did you get oem replacements, or a polyurethane variant?

Oh, really? Please do take pictures! of the mount kit too, especially, ASAP. lol thanks man.

Thanks for the pic. Did you get oem replacement e30 mounts, or a polyurethane variant?

i was tight on time and couldnt wait on shipping so i used oem, if you use the e30's go aftermarket poly, oem was to soft , but it was cool for a daily driver

Gotcha. What downpipe + turbo dump pipe did you use?

I highly advise you to get the driveshaft from shaftmasters and measure yourself, its really the only way to do it with these mounts. Im assuming you have a 13, but in my 14, the shifter was perfect, motor is nice and low, room for fans with the stock rad (not much tho, which is a given). My turbo outlet elbow hit my steering shaft knuckle hardcore, so i got a Mckinney, that also hit, so I went with AMPerformance. It still hit too but i slapped it around a bit.

As for customer service, the guy (Gary i think?) at Ruckus is very nice and helpful. He'll send you a new part no questions asked. The only part thing i found with the kit was that its not powdercoated, it was painted. Anyone else run into that?

i used the factory rb elbow and downpipe, fit perfect (s13), also my driveshaft was made by a local shop, i just took them my yoke and tailshaft and measured. worked fine

Shaftmasters is by far the best place to get driveshafts. 340 shipped for an aluminum? Ill put money down NOONE can beat that. Not to mention they are all badasses there. I swung by one of the guys houses to pick mine up, he was nice enough to take it home with him so i could snag it in the evening.

All you need to do is give them the dimentions of your stock driveshaft correct??

Then again how diffrent can a driveshaft be in length???

You just measure from the output to differential. It can be very different and i know because ive put an s13 driveshaft in my 14 with the rb swap just to see, and it was indeed about 3 inches shorter.

Is that all you have to do? If that's the case, looks like I seriously may be ordering the ruckus-racing mounts. My major concern is being able to close my hood (s13). I've noticed that grinding down the turbo elbow is common.

what are you guys doing with the insulator mounts. I remember reading something about hokey pucks??

I know that Nismos are available but I want something solid. Something that wont move.

Nismo/Megan/New OEM KA mounts + polyurethane (just take your time with it and make it look nice and neat)

I'm still not convinced yet with these. Not enough pics/testimonials that proves both fitment + hood closing (s13). Looking like Syko now (guarantee fitment + turbo elbow that fits with SR downpipe). And the R33 crossmember/transmission crossmember came with my motorset/clip.

to me they look a tad bit to tall, they would result in hood contact.

Thats what I was thinking but I contacted Ruckus-racing this morning and they said that the mount is suppose to be about 2.5 inches. If I wanted the motor to sit lower then I would need to get something with a lil bit more lower profile. But im curious if these are the same height as the nismo/meghan ones.

Im contacting montgumerymachine now.

Ill keep ya posted.

Did some more research. I found out that the hockey puck method is 2" (1" x2).

I then found this pick of the hockey pucks vs. Nismo mounts. According to this pic, 2.5" should be fine to fit Nismo mounts.

EDIT: And if the Nismo's are too tall, the hockey puck method is easy and cheap.

Does this mount kit eliminate the sub frame. If so what are the disadvantages of no sub frame.

They don't eliminate anything. They go on your existing crossmember. Basically add-ons.

No crossmember = no engine mounted
