Rough 1st & 2nd gear!

I have a 1994 240sx, Automatic, 4 cylinder

Wierd issue!
One day I returned to my car, turned the ignition and all I got was a lo shatter underneath. Towed it to a shop and right in front of me the mechanic quickly found the issue.
The main ground cable coming from the battery to the engine chassis was extremely loose and arching. Well I tought an easy fix!
Picked it up the next morning drove away. Here is were it got wierd.

1st & 2nd gear take too long to shift. Shifting on this two are very hard and feels like slamming. Once I'm on the highway the rest of the gears seem fine.

I would like to throw the fact that the AC relay on the engine compartment had been removed before all this started. Don't know if that would make a difference or not.

Well if anybody has any expertise on this matter it would be greatly appreciated.

It could be your dropping resistor is bad or unplugged.
