Why cant you pull?DisFrikkenWill wrote:Any suggestions on wich grids I should get for my stock body s14? The most I can do is roll the fenders, cant pull. maybe with 225/45 or any suggestions on tires too?
Maybe.I was diggin 5zigen's FNs for a little bit.Still am.simmode1 wrote:^^^ Hey Panda... now that Rota has release 17x9 and 17x9.5 Grids... you gonna get some?
Have coilvers? 4 lug or 5 lug?DisFrikkenWill wrote:Any suggestions on wich grids I should get for my stock body s14? The most I can do is roll the fenders, cant pull. maybe with 225/45 or any suggestions on tires too?
Cool... turbo stuff is always good. I've always liked FN's. I just liked Rotas concavity, more 4 lug sizes and lower price more.pandapants wrote:

I kinda like the p45/grid combo too.
can't decide.
Either way, wheel purchase is postponed all together right now.Just made some impulsive turbo purchases
18X9.5+15 all around with tires ranging from 235/40 to 255/40. Depends on your preferences.DisFrikkenWill wrote:yeah I have megan streets coilovers and im still with 4lug, looking for options first before going 5lug.
Man, so many options!!!!I can't decide!!!!W/o a doubt, Toby's car looks good. Can't go wrong with 18s and fat tires I, myself, am getting a little tired of "hella flush, tire scraping, a** dragging" fitment.simmode1 wrote:Cool... turbo stuff is always good. Speaking of the P45R/Grid combo, I recently was inspired by guys like Broadfield, that run 18's all around on S13's. I'm toying with the idea of 18x9.5 all around with the P45R/Grids combo... What do you think?Modified by simmode1 at 9:03 PM 2/19/2010
The place I found has a decent price shipped to hawaii only has them in 17x9.5+12 4x114 would this be good or would I need a small pull? I was thinking of 225/45 all around but would like something more comfortable as its going on my Daily driver.simmode1 wrote:

and that applies to stock height too? or for the guys who are slammed on coils?simmode1 wrote:235/40/17 is a great size, IMO. But I expect rubbing with either one of those offsets. The +25 will have the tire rubbing the inner fender/wheel-well lining. The +12 will have the tire rubbing the fender itself.
No biggie. For the +25's, bash the fender lining out of the way with a hammer/mallet or just remove the lining completely. For the +12's, just roll your fenders and maybe add a little negative camber.
Oh god... forget everything I said if you're still at stock ride height. Certainly, there's almost nothing that will have problems fitting under stock ride hieght. But I just thinks it rediculous to buy nice looking wheels when you're still gonna have all that horrid wheel gap... I encourage you to get a decent set of entry level coilovers before buying wheels.minkl81 wrote:and that applies to stock height too? or for the guys who are slammed on coils?
Seriously? There's like, three links near the top of this page...giodachamp wrote:So I decided i'm going to buy Rota Grids in 17x9 +12 size but i can't seem to find the website to buy it from.... Any Suggestions???
currently its on eibach pros and i was going to get 16s with some meaty tires to somewhat fill in that gap. but since 16s are out of stock i'm just going with the 17s. also i'm in need of new tires right now so its better off to get new wheel/tire before going any lower.simmode1 wrote:

My fenders had to be rolled FLAT to fit this....simmode1 wrote:Well, first off... I'd recommend getting the coilovers first.
But as for the wheels/tires, you're gonna need a roll and a healthy pull with that low offset and that much rubber, depending on how low you decide to go.
I think you are thinking of Skilz...
Even though Skilz is 5 lug, these exact same sizes and offsets are available in 4 lug as well. Choosing these offsets will save you a headache since you won't need to pull your fenders. If you're not going very low, you might not even a roll.
I hope that helps. Let me know if you need anything else.

Because those sizes are not available...simmode1 wrote:Skilz, I've always loved your car, but I got a question:With the spacers you'll effectively be running 17x9+10 and 17x9.5+15. Is there any particular reason you didn't just start out with the 17x9+12 & 17x9.5+15 wheels? And are expectiong to have to pull the rears to keep those 275's?
According to Rota's stock site they were not available then and are still not available now...simmode1 wrote:Oh, I see. Availability is a bish sometimes. Those lower offsets in 5 lug Hyper Blacks are in stock now...
Your car was one of the cars that I actually liked for it's non-flushness. I love how it was like a celebration of meaty tires and bucking the trends...
