Any suggestions on wich grids I should get for my stock body s14? The most I can do is roll the fenders, cant pull. maybe with 225/45 or any suggestions on tires too?

Maybe.I was diggin 5zigen's FNs for a little bit.Still am.

I kinda like the p45/grid combo too.

can't decide.

Either way, wheel purchase is postponed all together right now.Just made some impulsive turbo purchases

Cool... turbo stuff is always good. I've always liked FN's. I just liked Rotas concavity, more 4 lug sizes and lower price more.

Speaking of the P45R/Grid combo, I recently was inspired by guys like Broadfield, that run 18's all around on S13's. I'm toying with the idea of 18x9.5 all around with the P45R/Grids combo... What do you think?

18X9.5+15 all around with tires ranging from 235/40 to 255/40. Depends on your preferences.

Man, so many options!!!!I can't decide!!!!W/o a doubt, Toby's car looks good. Can't go wrong with 18s and fat tires I, myself, am getting a little tired of "hella flush, tire scraping, a** dragging" fitment.

Looking for something a little more subtle and practical.I like simplicity.Hence the "weak" +20 the FNs have.

Your car looks good. I think 18x9/10 and some well fitted tires would look pristine. With a moderate dropand stock KaWIN!!!!

Yeah... If I do that route (which I'm feeling pretty strongly about at this moment), I would get

2 P45R's in 18x9.5+15 with 245/35/18 in Hyper Black2 Grid's in 18x9.5+15 with 245/35/18 in Royal Gold.

I'd have the Hyper Blacks on one side of the car and the Royal Gold's on the other. This way it looks like a different car whether you see me coming or going! lol Plus, I'll have good grip and be able to rotate my tires!

As far as I know, the P45R's and Grids weigh about the same (21.9 to 22.2 lbs) so balancing shouldn't be too hard. I also like the fact that I can achieve 0 wheelgap without having to drag my oilpan and framerails!

Here's my new inspiration: http://www.rimtuck.com/setup.php?id=310

On that stock KA note... God the simplicty of it is soooo tempting! But I do feel the urge for more power! I could do a simple KA-T, but I feel compelled and obligated to do the VQ30DET swap since I made that bigass thread about it... lol

The place I found has a decent price shipped to hawaii only has them in 17x9.5+12 4x114 would this be good or would I need a small pull? I was thinking of 225/45 all around but would like something more comfortable as its going on my Daily driver.

Thanks for you help bro!

^^^If you're into that stretched thing... go 225/40 and slam the shizz out of it. A 225/45 will have a nasty looking tall sidewall, IMO.

An S14 shouldn't need a pull for some 225's on +12 offset.

I posted this earlier today but wasn't getting any reply so I just went ahead with P-45R

zer...eeded

Only wheel design and color that I liked without having to wait at least 3months. I wanted P-45R in 17x9 +25 but only color in stock is sport bronze. Just hoping that it will not rub with the +12 setup.

Now I have to decide on the tire size. What will be optimal without rubbing?I know someone fitted with 235/45/17 but not sure how much its lowered on. To be safe, I'm leaning on 235/40/17 but what are your opinions?

235/40/17 is a great size, IMO. But I expect rubbing with either one of those offsets. The +25 will have the tire rubbing the inner fender/wheel-well lining. The +12 will have the tire rubbing the fender itself.

No biggie. For the +25's, bash the fender lining out of the way with a hammer/mallet or just remove the lining completely. For the +12's, just roll your fenders and maybe add a little negative camber.

So I decided i'm going to buy Rota Grids in 17x9 +12 size but i can't seem to find the website to buy it from. When i went through this thread, i saw suggestions about Discount tires direct having them and so forth. I also went to NLmotoring website and did not find the sizes that i wanted. My last resort would be racing lab since I live near them but i want to see more deals so i can decide where to buy if from. Any Suggestions???

i placed a order for 17x9+12 but don't really wanna roll/pull with neg cambers. and i don't much like sport bronze either on 17x9+25...can't really set my mind whether i should go with +25 even though its not my favorite color or just stay with +12 and make it fit...

Oh god... forget everything I said if you're still at stock ride height. Certainly, there's almost nothing that will have problems fitting under stock ride hieght. But I just thinks it rediculous to buy nice looking wheels when you're still gonna have all that horrid wheel gap... I encourage you to get a decent set of entry level coilovers before buying wheels.

Seriously? There's like, three links near the top of this page...

18racing has them for $750 shipped. Wheeldude lists them for $800 w/free shipping. Racinglab lists them for $725 + 108.95 for shipping.

There's been some talk about Wheeldude's pricing... And I've even said some things about it. But in retrospect, they're not too bad really. At least they're a trusted source. I've never seen anyone actually buy from 18Racing or RacingLab...

currently its on eibach pros and i was going to get 16s with some meaty tires to somewhat fill in that gap. but since 16s are out of stock i'm just going with the 17s. also i'm in need of new tires right now so its better off to get new wheel/tire before going any lower.

But as for the wheels/tires, you're gonna need a roll and a healthy pull with that low offset and that much rubber, depending on how low you decide to go.

I think you are thinking of Skilz...

Even though Skilz is 5 lug, these exact same sizes and offsets are available in 4 lug as well. Choosing these offsets will save you a headache since you won't need to pull your fenders. If you're not going very low, you might not even a roll.

I hope that helps. Let me know if you need anything else.

My fenders had to be rolled FLAT to fit this....

I just bought my own Eastwood roller and PBM 15mm spacers all around, good pics coming soon...

I think that quote of mine was pertaining to S13 fitment, if that was in question...

Skilz, I've always loved your car, but I got a question:With the spacers you'll effectively be running 17x9+10 and 17x9.5+15. Is there any particular reason you didn't just start out with the 17x9+12 & 17x9.5+15 wheels? And are expectiong to have to pull the rears to keep those 275's?

Because those sizes are not available...

I will surely need a slight pull to fit them.

Oh, I see. Availability is a bish sometimes. Those lower offsets in 5 lug Hyper Blacks are in stock now...

Your car was one of the cars that I actually liked for it's non-flushness. I love how it was like a celebration of meaty tires and bucking the trends...
