i dont think there are really any write ups, because most often its not a DIY project.

Just look at other cages. The "other" forum has a whole thread that is nothing but roll cage pictures.

im not saying its not possible, im just saying you'd better be damn confident in your skills cause in a wreck your life could depend on it.

i dont know your background so maybe your a kickass welder and if so by all means go for it! do you have a tubing bender and all the other necessary tools?

also, if your building it for a sanctioned racing event, make sure you get the most updated rulebook and build it exactly to those specs. GL

S&W race cars sells a cage that you weld together, you should modify the top hop for higher clearance though, two dog leg bends do the trick

You can look at the pictures of the cage in my hatch. They are on like the 6 or 7th page. Your car is a coupe, but the same basic design is the same.

You likely wont need nearly as many braces as I because you probably dont need an FIA spec cage, but it could be helpful.

I will say, that no matter what you do. Push the roof bars as close to the edge of the roof as possible. There is very little head room to start with, and cage tubes, and skulls dont get along.

I dont think I would trust myself to build something that important unless I knew I was DAMN good and I had a pro with me guiding me along the way. But hey thats just me, good luck
