Roll bars (not cages)

Any word on those, i've searched and came up with the auto power ones, but it seems like it needs some trimming.

Is there a place where I can actually purchase one that will work??

Even the one that says for convertible? Autopower has a "roof-type" option, coupe/hatch, w/ & w/o sunroof, and convertible.

Where is their roll bar too wide at for the convertible exactly? Is it because of the door panels? Or because of the rear side panels? I've never gotten to look up close at a S13 coupe (hardtop) compared to a Convertible, but from what I have seen it isn't too much different, and if you do the hardtop door mod and move the seatbelt assy's I would think it'd be near identical. I know I have a TON more side room now after doing the door modification, putting hardtop doorpanels on, and moving the seatbelts. Please clarify!!! I am dying to install a roll bar so I don't lose my head in a roll over (and of course to stiffen it up ).

I'm SURE there's somebody on this website with a coupe that has the Autopower roll bar, we should try to get detailed pics of how it mounts up and clearances with the side panels, etc. Anyone got a coupe and Autopower roll bar willing to take some pics???

CrappyS13 on Zilvia has an autopower in his car. He had to custom it though, I don't know if he used a coupe one & custom, or whatever - but it wasn't drop-in... I believe one of the problems was with the top going up & down and hitting the support bars. Not positive though - you can search for him & ask on there.

having more room in the doors doesnt help.

the main hoop sits behind the doors, in the rear area, which the rear panels, and sides of the top mechanism occupy.

i was not aware the autopower had a convertible option, i will look into that.

also, i had a cusco full cage in my s13 hatch, and i know for a fact it will not fit the convertible, it barely fit in the hatch. main hoop of an autopower is similiar in size.

wow lots of replies, I'd love to see someone custom make one, but won't it have to be built a certain way, or to some sort of specs??

I want one cause I equally don't want to lose my head, and that they look mean as hell

well whats autopowers website? or does anyoneknow where I can get a cage and what difference would the coupe one be? I can cut up that metal plate stuff and bolt it in right?

Also anyone know of a harness bar for 240's or some sort of a cage that includes this? thanks

Ever heard of searching for "autopower" on google to get the site??? It will also list regional retailers.

that structure you exposed is whats in the way of using a standard s13 rollbar/cage.

you can but you have to cut it out...i personally dont like them so i left it gutted
