Just thought I'd throw some pics up before my car goes in for paint and aero kit.

Let me know what you all think?

RHD180sx - It will be Black with a very clean aero Kit.

JSvert240sx - The wheels are Enkei RPF1's Fr&Rr 18x9.5J +15

donmeca2020 - The stickers were placed on the car last Thursday for a track day I did at Willow Springs raceway and have since been removed. I am sponsored by all of those companies.

damn how did you get all those sponsors with a car that looks like that?

where did that brace/harness bar come from? I like the way that looks, but no tire storage in the rear seat area would suck... also why do you still have the seat cushion in there?

top_secret - Thanks for the compliment.... In case you didn't read the topic the car is going into the bodyshop and I am sure when it's done you will understand why I have all these sponsors.

The harness bar and X brace are all custom made and installed at L-Con Race car fabrication (www.l-con.net). It added a ton of rigidity and is not even done yet. Pics to come. The rear seat pad was in there because the interior looks like **** without it. It will be out after the paint shop as the interior will be painted as well. I have an enclosed trailer and tire carrying in the car is not necessary.

Thanks for the kind words everybody.

I dunno man I think you need some more stickers still.

just kidding. I think I'm gonna have a brace welded in like that when I get my new seats.

top_secret - Is that your car in the picnic table thread?

- The bracing is by far the best upgrade I've done to the car. The door pillar mod and Kaaz dif run a close second....er and third I guess? I strongly recommend it if your vert feels like a wet noodle like mine did (and you dont mind not having back seats).

110 - That is bad as hell. Well done sir!

I am definitely all over that harness bar mod. Matter of fact, that's gonna get done real soon.

Do you have a triangulated front strut tower brace? That was an awesome mod, ties the strut towers to the firewall and really helped a TON with the rigidity.

Thanks for the great pics - I wish you a lot of luck with your vert.

Makes me even more motivated to finish up on mine!

Thank you for the kind words AZhitman.

The only problem thus far with the rear bracing is that you will certainly not be able to use your seatbelt re-location. You may however be able to reposition the harness bar to miss the location where you have moved your seatbelts or run harness' as I have. I had my fabricator close off that hole with a baseplate. So far the bracing has done wonders for the car and handling. You will love it!

I currently have a strut top brace in the front. However it is not triangulated. I would love to get one though. Any recommendations? Would it be easier to just have one made?

if your fabricator can do that brace then he could probably weld up braces to go under your front fenders, which would probably stiffen as much as a strut bar. I can't use a strut bar on mine unfortunately. ca18det + top mount turbo= no.

top_secret - The paint job on the car is original. The black window frame is vinyl for now as I wanted to see how it looked before it was painted that way. In my opinion it looks good!

I noticed that the car already has some chincy little braces under the fender already. Thus far I have left them alone. The NAMS ones I purchased dont look as if they will offer any significant support over stock. Do you have an opinion on that?

yeah other members on here feel that the stock ones are as strong as the nams style. I think they are wrong. The area the doors bolt to is one of the strongest on the car, where the firewall meets the junction between unibody and the front frame. The nams are thick tubular steel that brace the fender directly to that spot. the stock ones are just pieces of sheet metal welded in across the edge of the angle... they brace sheet metal to sheetmetal which DOES make it stronger but as evidenced by the cowl shake etc its not enough.

srdrps13 - Yea, I don't really post much. Just kinda do my own thing.

As far as the motor goes, right now it is KA with AEM cold air intake. I know...whoopee! Big things to come. I promise. I work in the automotive aftermaket community an that is why I have attained some sponsors...they help me out as I already have a small amount of credibility in the scene.

I will post more pics after the car gets out of paint and after the motor goes in.

Thanks...I will look into it. Do they have a website?

To the best of your knowledge, does anyone else on this vert forum have any type of roll cage or internal bar type chassis stiffining? I would love to see what others are doing.
