Just a little update. What do you all think?

I will post pics of the custom mounts and more info as I finish up the swap. It is unbelievably straight forward. More pics and details to come.

Thanks guys for all the great feedback.

madcow: I used the VQ simply for the challenge. The company I work for has done many inline 6 stuff and I wanted something different. My car is kinda our guinea pig.

Just so you guys know, the fab shop (Designcraft Fabrications) will be offering a production kit that anyone can buy incl. urethane engine and transmission mounts. I hope this becomes the swap of the future as I know the potential of the VQ is phenominal. Let me know if anyone is interested?

Eikon: No turbo's. But you could call it a VQ35DES if you know what I mean?

Wireless: Definetly not unheard of, your right. I am not trying to be the first, just trying to improve my vert to the best of my ability. I want my car to appear and work as if it were new and I was the designer. That is my goal.

Thank you all again for your kind words! I just hope someday my vert is as nice as AZ's!!! I have got a long way to go. Thanks for the inspiration AZ!

whitelines13: Thank you for the positive comments on the car. The wing is made and distributed by SUPER MADE.

Hey 110octane, I am in the middle of a VQ35DE swap into my S14.3 I was wondering who did your wireing and what ecu did you use? My mounts and everything is done this thing just has to be wired. You said it was pretty straight forward how straight forward is it? Keep in mind I bougt my vq from Fred so my VQ is from a maxima but everything else on is from z33 I was wondering if you can help me out and we can discuss this via AIM or email

Do you know of a US distributer? I don't have the proper language pack installed to read that web page. Props on the beautiful vert! I'll be posting pics of mine as soon as I get it done!
