sadly, no. i bought the OEM Deflector. need to install wit screws.blueis300 wrote:What do you need help with exactly? Isnt it just applied with 3m tape?
i think there are clips. three of them. where should they be clipped onto?Lewy wrote:The screws just bend around the metal of the sunroof. Really easy...I just took mine off.
Chris
It was the space problem and i was installing it by myself. The clip kept falling down while I pick up the screw.takeshi wrote:Really? I had no problems installing it myself. However, it sounds like whoever sold it to you didn't include the instructions.
Still, seems like it would still be fairly simple. Three clips, three screws (three holes in the deflector) and the deflector itself. Might not be very clear what the stickers are for but they protect the paint underneath the clips.
The other thing that would probably help is that the instructions say to use a rag to keep the built-in deflector depressed and out of the way.
If you have a "new" sound only now after installing the deflector then the answer is probably YES... "something" is rubbing! You'll want to determine what it is and correct the situation as quickly as possible or you may be rubbing against a painted surface ... which could potentially lead to bare metal and rust Or... you may be rubbing against a rubber seal which could eventually damage the seal resulting in a leak every time it rains or you go thru a carwash.AznJohn22 wrote:Also, when i open and closed the moon roof now, there are strange sounds. i think it is the rubber rubbing against the clip. No?
The clip is rubbing against the rubber section of the moonroof I believe. Have you heard of a "new" sound after installing it?Elton Noway wrote:

I have not installed one on a Rogue yet "but" I've installed plenty in my lifetime. I have never had one interfer with sunroof operation , rub or make noise . I would think that it is HIGHLY unlikely that you should hear any new sounds when opening or closing the roof as a result of the install.AznJohn22 wrote:Have you heard of a "new" sound after installing it?
Since its a Nissan part ... forget about calling Nissan directly. For one, I don't think the Nissan manufacturing plant actually installs any deflectors. I believe its an aftermarket accessory installed by Nissan dealers. It would be easier to call a couple local Nissan dealerships in your area. You might get a service department tech willing to discuss it with you. Dealerships install the deflectors all the time so they would know if what you are experiencing is normal.AznJohn22 wrote:Call Nissan? It is Nissan parts.
I just notice the clips are being bend outwards. The top half of the clips. Same for you?Lewy wrote:They fit around the metal folds in the roof. Hold the sunroof visor up to the car and you should see how they go.
»NTB09139 - SB Rogue; Sunroof Will Not Close Completely
IF YOU CONFIRM: The sunroof will not close due to interference by the wind deflector. ACTION: Replace the wind deflector with the one listed in PARTS INFORMATION on Page 2. For part replacement, refer to SERVICE PROCEDURE on Page 2. See this bulletin for further detail.
Let me take a look at ours again...AznJohn22 wrote:I just notice the clips are being bend outwards. The top half of the clips. Same for you?
