Rogue 2015. Passing cables from interior to engine compartment.

Hi, I want to install an aftermarket front camera and I want to pass cables from interior to exterior (engine compartment). Does anybody know how to do this? (A place where It is easier to pass cables).

Any help will be appreciated. Please share photos.

I am not sure why do you want another camera as far as I know my Rogue SV with premium package has the front camera as well as back camera. The front gets activated only when you are in the park/drive mode and press the camera button. The back is activated when you are in reverse mode. Hope that helps and save you some money

Edit 1: I just realised you have a Xtrail which I have no idea about the front camera. I just assumes as this is in Rogue forum you are asking about Rogue. however you are welcome to check on the xtrail as well.

Have you looked over the FSM? There's a link in my sig line. I'd hazard a guess that it's not too dissimilar to the way it would be done on a first gen model. Please check this link: 08-13 ROGUE DIY REPAIRS & MAINTENANCE, FAQ & INFO, TIPS, etc. Scroll down to the audio upgrade section.

@RogueOne I have read some documents of FSM but I have not been able to find a hole/grommet for doing this.

@sonudel, thanks. The trim level of my Xtrail does not include the front camera, It just includes the rear camera. Acording to the FSM, XTrail (I could find this manuals -spanish) and US Nissan Rogue 2nd Gen are almost the same. There are some minor differences on color cables and harnesses.

I will install a front camera with an electronic circuit for 15 seg delay (after the reserve signal has been change off), I will be using an aftermarket radio (Pioneer AVH-X2750BT). Once I success I will share some photos.

Meanwhile, for all of those that want to run a cable through firewall, this thread could be useful (not so much details but could help)
