Have you ever sat in a new Chevy Impala? It has just as much interior space as the Crown Victoria because of it's cab forward design.

Before I started using recycling services, I had a lady on Craigslist come and pickup some discarded books. This was enough to fill a warehouse pallet, and we managed to individually toss almost every damn one into the trunk and back seat of her Impala. Poor tires.

Yeah, the current-gen Impala is pretty big. The last-gen was midsize but still not small. I highly doubt ease of egress is an issue with the current Impala, even in duty gear.

The thing that is stupid about the Impala police car is that, due to packaging and production issues, it is not available with the 5.3 V8. Only the 3.9 V6.

New cop cars suck.

I like being able to spot the headlights of a cop car creeping up on you.

These things won't even be noticeable at night...

I've talked to a lot of cops here in Philly and the surrounding area that would rather deal with the headaches from the fumes of their old crown vics then be assigned one of those Impala's. They have all said that it's cramped, has no balls, and doesn't handle police duty as well. Then I've also talked to those that are assigned the Chargers and they all agree that while it's great for highway use, it can't brake fast enough and they are too heavy to handle inner city use.

There is an unmarked Kentucky State Police Camaro in my area (a frightening thought) ... I've also seen a mustang in a nearby city. They do use Magnums, on the section of I-65 that goes through the city I go to school in you see them with dogs in the back all over the place. The 300c is just an expensive Charger.

That's a fire truck.

My question is this, is your dad a Sheriff's Deputy and a volunteer Fire Fighter? If so you must live in a tiny tiny town.

That's a water tank truck.

But if they have a volunteer fire department it is probably a small down. So maybe they didn't split the normal engine from the water truck.

Cause it works. Experienced cops are as accurate with that as with a flashlight. It is simple, functional, and easy to use.

Scottsdale is all over the place with their cop cars. But they're super nice though.

Half of them are the new-er Crown Vics and the newest V8 Impala's.

The rest are brand new Suburbans all policed out and such.

And they all use low profile led light bars so you can't ever tell it's a cop, at night.....which sucks.

We just have Crown Vics and Chargers, with a few rare sightings of some SUVs.

There are a couple of departments in Eastern VA that use Intrepids... How gay is that.

Up here the Ontario Provincial Police (equivalent to the US State trooper) have and use some unmarked Toyota Highlanders, a new Camaro SS, Pontiac G5 coupes and and '06 Subaru WRX sedan (with those graphics that only appear when the light catches it in a certain way) in addition their usual fleet of Crown Vics, Impala's, Mustangs and Tahoes.
