So in doing this, is there actually metal removed? Say cutting out the top arch and reforming the sheet metal? Or are we talking stretching the metal with a fender roller to achieve the fitment you desire? Perhaps a little of both depending on the chassis? Either way it makes for a difference appearance and I'm sure the mod creates the desired function.

I get it,

so it allows the wheels to sink deep into the wheel well.

so the rear can be slammed

cool.

While it's known that they roll low, can they roll quickly? I'm quite shallow and the whole sacrificing some functionality for aesthetics doesn't bother me much. Losing the speed that I enjoy regularly in my G50 does however.

In the next month or so, I plan on beginning my VIP treatment and I was given some great advice by a very knowledgeable person on how to start. I'm advised to start with a wheel and tire package and coilovers. Even if I can't add an aero right away, my car will still look pretty nice. Again, because of vanity, I can't be one of those guys who drives around in a car looking like it's between stages. (You know, all primered up and stuff.)

thats ill.

1.5 inches of radiusing can get the rear a lot lower. but you loose the beveled edge the factory fender has.

what make is this.

Not necessarily, there's many ways to radius..the way I'm doing mine the stock edge is maintained...I'm removing metal above the stock flare and bringing it up to maintain a stock appearance but still allow me to roll low. And to answer the other question..yes, roll low fast too.

ive never heard of radiusing before but it looks really good. in doing the way where you remove the metal above the stock flare, what do you use to cut it out? is it difficult to ensure there is a straight line cut the whole way?

That all depends on the application. And for the cutting..cutting wheel, sawzall (you better be good..haha), or whatever you feel most precise with. Cutting disk works best for me..easy to follow a line I pre-drawl.

an angle grinder with a fine blade would be perfect for cutting.

you can get one for $50.

different disks can be swapped out and it can be usedfor sanding after the cuts.

I cut a hole in my frame for the IC piping hole, and it was fast and easy to use.

That looks like a cut to create clearance for a flare and suspension travel (or rather tire travel). Similar to what I did on my Z...although I then welded the two parts together after I flattened out the inner well to meet the cut outer section..then grinded it down nice, coated it with POR15 and threw on the over fenders we made.

Exactly what happened there.

Kinda scary taking a grinder to pristine fenders.

Of course, Greg. That looks sweet. One question though, what is that bulb number of the amber bulb in your tails? I will gladly get you a set of chrome dipped amber bulbs to go in there so it will not have that . . . look.

Alright, I found the odd bulb, but I could only find one. I also found the pigtails for that bulb. If that is not what you need, I have some chrome dipped 1156's but I believe they are the 'hyper white' not amber. I found a pair of red 1156 LED bulbs as well. I will have them all for you at Import Alliance.
