I'm wanting to change from the staggered 19 inch wheels on my 2005 G35 Coupe to 4, 19x8.5 rims all the way around.

I'm looking at the Stern ST-1 Beast rims and trying to figure out this offset thing.

If I can only choose from offsets of 20,32 and 38, would 20 be the best for the front?

And would anyone have an idea for the rear?

Thanks,
Tom

From the sticky thread just above this one:

Stock
19" wheels
Front: 19x8 +30mm offset
Rear: 19x8.5" +33mm offset

Commonly used after-market offsets:
Very Aggressive:
Front width: 9.5" +19mm offset
Rear with: 10.5" +17mm offset

Aggressive:
Front width: 8.5" +20-22mm offset
Rear width:9.5" +22 mm offset

If not staggering then +20 all around may work, you might want to plug it into a tire/wheel calculator and measure you car to see where it will move everything in relation to fender.

If you don't plan on rotating then +32 front and +20 rear, but that would defeat the purpose of having the same wheels all around.

I'd just worry about the rear wheels looking 'sunken' with same size/offset all around.

Yeah, I've been going back and forth between the order sheet and the sticky trying to figure out how to do this.

Even if I do go staggered, the 19x9.5 only come in a 25 or 35 offset..

Looks like I'll be measuring or trying to figure out how to calculate offset this weekend

Use a tire/wheel calculator, you can put in your current set up then the one you want and it will tell you the differences and then you can go measure to see where that will sit on the car.

I think I have decided to go with the staggered rim set up. I looked up the specs of my tires on tirerack.com and the front will be fine on a 8.5 rim but the back tires (245/45/19) shouldn't be put on anything wider than 9 inches. Like you said, I think I can get away with this for a little while..

Now I have to decide on the offsets. Front I'm pretty set on 20mm, but back I have to choose 25 or 35... This guy has the exact rim and look I want my-g35-t485352.html

Will try to find a tire/wheel calculator to help me out tomorrow if still needed, and than try to figure out how to measure what I need to..

So 20 offset on front, 25 on rear?

Thanks Red-Det and everyone else that posted..

Yeah, 20 front and 25 rear should work well.
