I've had power window problems before but this one seems to be unique to the vert. My rear quarter window has had a harder and harder time going up lately and it appears as if it is encountering resistance from the groove it goes into on the convertible top. I know there's a lot of flexing in convertibles, but this seems strange since nothing traumatic has happened to the top (or the car). Of course I can't put the window up first because when I actuate the top, the quarter windows go down and I'm right where I started. I've also tried latching just one side first or latching neither until it's up, but it still struggles.

Don't want to burn out the motor or have to replace another master switch. Any suggestions?

This is a very common problem with this car. Check out the links contained in this link (found by using the SEARCH button - hint, hint)

I have this same problem and can get the window to come up if I pull on it and push the button at the same time. Eventually we'll all have to fix it.

Good luck!

CK,

I read the entire thread you provided before I posted. Didn't really see any relevant information there.

I can see that pushing on the window while it's going up or flexing the top itself might help, but that's not something I want to do every time I put the top up--I am 62,

You mentioned someday we'll all have to get it fixed. How?

Plastic clip is broken and off the track and that's why it's happening. When it first breaks, it'll still work for a sometime, but eventually it's completely off the track and won't go up or down. Drop the top, ask someone to push quarter window switch on center console, you watch inside of quarter panel from the top and you will know what I'm talking about.

Col Blu, take some pictures of your vert; the color combo sounds great. Is your top also tan like the interior?

I would be willing to PAY someone to fix this problem as mine is getting worse every day. Mine appears to be in the same track as the left side - which functions fine. I have to fiddle with the button to get it to come up even with the top down. Does this sound familair?
