Anyone know of a tool to measure total timing? My emanage can display adjusted timing, but not absolute, which is annoying when I'm trying to adjust my timing map.

MDM Techdom i think is how you spell it. i was about to buy one on ebay last week but i didnt for some reason, oh yea money. but it never sold. the guy wanted like $315 buy it now. it plugs into the consult port and tells you alot of things besides timing he had it on his 240 and it works for other nissans.

Canadians14--I do like the JWt setup and afc just fine. While I do use the JWT setup and am perfectly fine with it, I would much rather have a "tuned" ecu for my specific application. JWT is great in the respect of its totally plug and play--no headache with tuning, and no wiring. The problem is that if you change setups like structure did, then you have to have a reburn. The ways around it are to use an afc to correct for larger injectors or to have a spare ecu to send back to avoid downtime--or just have them send you a new chip and charge you for a core which is refunded when you send you previous chip back to them. I use the afc to get the fuel map a little more precise, and to have a little more control over my setup. However--I could do without it. Its good to have, but not necessary unless you are a paranoid freak that has to alwasy have some adjustability at your fingertips(like me---). The wideband is great for those who dont want to pay for dyno time. I will use one to make myself feel better about being able to constantly moniter it. But a good dyno session will show good a/f ratios and be the same is using the innonvative one mounted in your car. The 150 you can get one for on a forum or on ebay is WELL worth the money.

Structure--the MDM Techtom is a great device to use--the only thing wrong with it is that it doesnt show injector duty cycle. You can use the injector pulse width it displays to do a calculation of the duty cycle, but that involves some quick math----Injector pulse x RPMS/1200 ( i think its 1200--it may be 1100--ill check in just a second)Injector duty cycle is good to know if you think you may be running on the edge of your injectors duty cycle capacity. If you are using those 370's it may be something you want to invest in.

Its sweet to have one, but they are a little bulky--and by the time you get this, the wide bacnd, a turbo timer, a boost controller, gauges, and a afc---OMG--it'll look, and feel, like a christmas tree/f-14 fighter jet hybrid you just stepped into. Kinda cool--but im sure it would get old quick.

Not to mention, itll be cluttered. Where would you put all of that crap? I think if i had the wideband and the techtom--theyd be in the glove box.
