Hey My reverse lights are not working, The Bulbs are good, The Fuse is good, So I guess it's time to check the switch. I found it and I'm wondering if there is any way to test it before I pull it out of the transmission?

With a multimeter. It's just a simple open/closed circuit. See if it changes continuity with it in or out of reverse with the car off.

Ok well the wires on the sensor are frayed and about to break so I ordered a new one. Another Question that is completely off topic. My cars idle is around 1400. it will go from around 1300rpm and begin to rise till about 1500rpm then the car will cough and it will drop back down to 1300rpm. I unplugged the connectors on the back of the IAA and tryed to adjust the Idle screw but there was no effect???? Just opened a new thread to hopefully resolve this Idle issue.1990-300zx-n-a-5-speed-idle-problems-wi ... 73034.html .I will be changing the Reverse lamp switch tomorrow, and I'll post the results when I'm done.

Well I fought with my old Lamp Switch for 2 hours and finally got it out. Screwed the new one in and the wire breaks! I'm a little frustrated. Guess I'll have to order another one and try it again :(

Oh by the way anyone that is trying to do this, you can achieve it without dropping the transmission, Just loosen the back bracket with the transmission on a jack. then slowly lower it till it cant go any lower because of the exhaust. and to get the old switch out this sounds like a pain but after a bunch of trial and error this one worked. Take the blade of a Hack saw and cut the rear of the old sensor off so you can get a short socket on it.takes a while but its not to bad. Goodluck :)
