Being an American citizen means that we can complain all we want, that we can strive to make the country better. I don't know there isn't any good enough reason to hate this country. Not like it is one thing, hate it is another. We don't live in Iraq we don't live in Israel. We don't live in Russia. So, i honestly don't know what there is to hate here.

There is racism here, there are crooked people. But more so in other countries. I can have a friends that are black,Italian,white,asian, green alien.

Racism has nearly become illegal in the united states. Is it the same in japan or china? nope. In eather countries, they can prevent you into a bar or job if your american. Are their woman equil? nope. Woman get toys in other parts of the world. Thailand is a good example of that.

Can you pick your job without the government picking it for you? yep. Can you **** up and the government won't kill you for it? yep.

I'm not saying that in America we don't have it better then other countries, becuase that would be moronic of me to say that we don't. All I am saying is that America isn't perfect, there are numerous things to hate. So just becuase we have some things better off then other countries doesn't mean we should settle when it comes to other issues. But it goes for any country or society, there will always be positives and negatives but that doesn't mean we should ignore the negatives just becuase there are positives.

Edit: America isn't the only 'free' country in the world. I can do whatever I want for a job here in Ireland, I can be friends with whoever I want, and the women are treated as equally if not better in some instances.

the bad thing about use in other countries' affairs is that we're the only superpower left. Despite how we feel, me included, we have a duty to interfere with or help other countries.

I took the oath August 31, 1999 and hang my sealed citizenship certificate in my room.I wont insult the country I chose to be in and say I hate it like some spoiled a$$ will, but I'll criticize some of the people, some of the institutions, and try my best to change it.

Wow. Just wow. I'm impressed by your apparent lack of total literacy. If you DID know how to read properly you would have read, if you don't like it, get out, OR CHANGE IT Doesn't sound very Hitleresque to me, in fact it sounds like enlightened democracy. Nothing you said makes a minute bit of sense in response to most of the posts in this thread. Anyhow yeah America has problems but everywhere else does too, it just happens that ours are to a lessor degree than most other countries. I mean our crime would go WAY down if we banned guns like Britain or Japan, but that'll never happen because the people don't want it. I don't know why exactly, but that just impresses me. The will of the greater populace and our roots as a rebelled colony simply supercede freedom restricting legislation. While I'm all for anti-gun laws as a means of incredibly reducing violent crimes, I would probably never vote for that legislation in a congressional body, and its our ability to choose those things that makes us different from every other country.
