Thanks for the info! In my case I have replaced them just because they're old... no real symptoms...

Question for Dennis...

Back in the Yahoo club, you responded in a post about installing motor mounts..."Another interesting procedure is changing rack mount bushings without removing anything other than the rubber and 2 bolts."

Can you elaborate?

Under some circumstances you can feed/work the bushing into the channel with tools [complete field hospital surgical set required] push in, pull the rest of the way around and into place. Lubricant choices.

Make sure all the old oil, ps, ATF, etc is cleaned from channels and leaks have been stopped or the bushings will fail again soon.
