WELL DECIDED TO MAKE A NEW TOPIC BECAUSE OF NEW PROBLEMS...ORIGINAL TOPIC FROM HERE:

zerothread/274528

Well replaced the sensor but the car stills idles like crazy; even when i'm driving in the highway I can here the engine sputtering..I checked the E.C.U. and it still gives me the code 34(thats the knock sensor) even after I reset the thing.

I bought the sensor from Ebay so don't really know the quality of the product even dough it was brand new..heres the public address:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...:1123

Now when following the instructions for checking the errors from the E.C.U.; I'm following the last two lines of instructions:---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ALL TESTS ARE PERFORMED W/ THE IGNITION SWITCH "ON"

Mode I (Engine OFF)- Bulb Check:

In this Mode, the RED L.E.D. in the and the Check Engine Light stay ON. If either remain OFF, check the bulb.

Mode I (Engine ON) - Malfunction Warning:RED L.E.D. is OFF = OKRED L.E.D. flashes =

For Non-California Models:RED L.E.D. ON = The ECU's CPU or the Crank Angle sensor is malfunctioning.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now when I go check the E.C.U. while I have it on the ON position in Mode I; the red led light stays on all the time; it doesn't flash at all. which instructions clarify the following:

RED L.E.D. ON = The ECU's CPU or the Crank Angle sensor is malfunctioning!

This is where my main question comes in ; I got a hold of a Crank Angle sensor(+some others) from a same model engine as mine( KA24DE) but mines automatic & the other is a Manual-stick. because of this difference does anybody know if this sensor is & ;the others; compatible with my engine? If its compatible is it just an IN & OUT installation???

p.s. I hope its not a bad E.C.U. but if so does anybody know where I can get a use one? This are the numbers on top of the E.C.U. that i could see:

it has a big # 25 ontop & then the following

A11-B45 G08 0x11

I'll try to post a pick for both later for i'm having problems with my digital camera now.

you have a lot to say but it seems you know your ****. if you reset you ecu, replaced your sensor and your still pulling the code chances are that you MAY need a ecu. i see used ecu's go for cheap all the time on egay. and check nico club for full part outs.

thanks dude!; I currently bought this 91 240sx & also own a 89; I just love these little devils...I don't have a garage so cant really do all that i want to; just like to work on them & spin them around!!!

Well as u said; I have replaced the crank angle sensor & timed the whole shi*** and still get that code. I currently removed that air thing (forgot what it called; passenger side, next to the firewall) & will be cleaning it with ur usual carbon cleaner. What a pain in the arssss to remove that thing on a 91; not like the 89 i have.

will also be looking for that E.C.U.....CATCH U ALL LATER & THANKS!
