Replaced battery in 94Q - now auto exit not working

OK, I'm trying not to be too stupid... I did a search on resetting the auto exit feature on my Q but couldn't find anything. I just put in a new battery and now the auto exit feature isn't working; any ideas/help on how to reset this?? I remembered having to reset the radio and seat presets for each driver after the last battery replacement but don't remember the auto exit feature not working.

well, start with the obvious: is the cancel button depressed? if not, and all the seat positioning and wheel telescoping functions work, then refer to EL- 125 in your bible.

Thanks, that's the thread I saw sometime back but couldn't find it again when searching.

Putting the key in the ignition and opening/closing the driver's door a couple times did the trick; just wish they had put these easy fixes in the shop manual somewhere!
