removal of speed limiter

:ylsuper Ok so i work late .got the fuss buster on and my gps set for speed.very littel on the freeway. top speed 115mph my top so far was 118mph. it was time to set a new top speed.push it up to 121mph to night. my next stop is can you say 130:D :ylsuper

do you have to unplug the transmission sensors? or can you just cut the wire

ok. back road. no car.tock my littel red ride up to 128mphtonight, just a tad over 5500rpm in 5 gear.does someone know what the top speed is for this car.if the math holes up on my car it will be around 155mph.the ram air helps out alot.let me know:icesangel :ylsuper

Top Speed?

Yup...according to the math...about 155...But the aerodynamic loading comes into effect....

so you will probably never see 155...

Top Speed depends on air density of your location...

it varies...

How did you read 128? TechTom? GPS?

I check it with my gps.there is only 1mph diff on the read out speedo being higher by the 1mph. tonight same road.130mph.155mph ,ill let you know.:icesangel

so when you do this what exactly doesn't work? The speedo or the speedo and tach?

on my 97 every thing still works,speedo and tack. i use the GPS for speed above 120mph.because that is the highest my speedo go.at 130:ylsuper the speedo is bottom out on the trip reset.:icesangel when i get the NOS ill see if i can get the tack to 6500 in 5gear.(155mph i hope)

you need two big bottles to get above 140!!

Thanks for the info, I had heard that the speedo didn't work after doing this, guess not, the speedo is just pegged so it's essentially useless. Are there ANY adverse effects to this? And why would you wire in a switch if nothing happens when you clip/unplug everything?
