I agree. and thats why i said what i did. It does look rice because of that alone.

I give props to the guy who put the blue powdercoat on his, cause it wasn't a poser. Im not being mean, its just too close to be a coincedence. By all means paint it red if you like it so much.

Now i like a good tuned KA, but power isnt the name of the game here. I'm talking POWERBAND. Why else can a stock '91 sentra SE-R netting much less power can beat a stock 240sx W/KA24DE???

powerband is really only one reason why, but i dont need to list them all, cause you could search and look about to find everything im talking about. SR really is a better designed engine.

You think thats cool, I got a KA24E Redtop that I bought from Troy (Tweaktac) when he was doing his CA swap. I've seen better but it got my 240 going for $300. Can't wait to get that sign bonus, ****ing Navy. You guys would be suprised how many people thought it was an SR. This pic is from when it was in Troy's car. http://xessiv.com/customerride...t.htm

Thats why you spend MORE money and make some real power. HAHAHA

ahhh, nobody wants to hear my banter i guess.so yeah you still cant do the same things with a ka that an SR or even a CA could do. I know 2.4 liters and all that but a KA making considrable power is real expensive (not reliable) and the others are made already to be reliable so i take the sure shot deal. the 2K+ you spend on the clip is worth it because of the future mods, not the actual purchase.

I just don't like the SR RWD swap very much, thats all. I like FWD OEM srs,and SRs in general. However if/when I do a swap(might be soon too! w00t!) Its going to be a CA18DET or RB series.

yeah i pretty much feel the same way as the ghetto one bout sr's. i know they are a good engine, but for the money i would look elsewhere. anyways heres a shot of my blacktop KA, had to do somethin while ripping off chain guides :)

I don't know what I'm missing, or maybe I don't know something you all do, but (not trying to offend) why don't you all ever clean your engines? at least give it a good spray to make it look purdy (when its cold of course). All of the cars in my family have clean engines. Maybe its just a pet peeve of mine. Especially some of you SR folk! :)

I am always reluctant to spray down an engine due to all the electrical goodies under the hood these days...no use frying plugs. Its an engine, not a diamond ring...Not as much bling bling.

Isn't a "bump" when you agree with the post? First time I have used it.

200 grit sand paper - dry, by hand. On mine it left the bare aluminum lettering brushed, and I liked the look. If you want them polished, I'd suggest a dremel, or using varying sadpapers of finer grit, as well as metal polish.
