I won't get one because I know it'll just make me neurotic. Driving is stressful enough already, I don't need more distractions.

I'm going to weigh in here again on the side of the V1. The "bogy" counter is very useful... In some of my usual trap areas, knowing that there's a second one down the road is great.

As far as the arrows, knowing that the radar source is getting stronger (faster beeps) and coming from in front of you on the other side of an interstate divided by a concrete barrier is very useful information. As it goes by and the arrows point to the side and then behind you, you know that what you saw is the one that was running the radar.

The sensitivity is excellent - snagging a blip or two of instant-on when it's a mile or two away is a good thing too.

In all honesty, I'm comparing it to an 8 year old Escort Passport 5500 (the first one with the LCD display) but it's a world of difference. It definately hurt my feelings to pay full price for something (I even snipe office supplies on eBay ) but it is well worth it!

I read on another forum that you can save some cash on the V1 by asking for a returned one. It will have the latest software, but was returned under the 30 day free trial.

I think these are often referred to as Vacation Specials as that is for what they are used before they are returned.

Yeah, ethically-challenged people are everywhere!
