So, I've got an urge to spend some of my hard-earned money on a new CD or two. Problem is, it's tough finding stuff I like. There's a new Tom Waits CD coming out but it's not available yet. Same deal with the new A Perfect Circle CD.

So...stuff I like is:

ToolA Perfect CircleTom WaitsRadioheadTori AmosOzomatliJurassic 5

So, uh...lots of different stuff.

Go buy Operation: Mindcrime.

If you've never listened to it from start to finish, it's incredible.

Billie Holiday's greatest hits.

That's been on repeat for a little while now.

Queensryche? I'm pretty sure I have a copy of that somewhere...it's a question of finding it. I'm in the process of ripping all my CD's to MP3, since I have a hard time finding the my actual CDs. At least when they're on my computer I know where they are.

Yeah, we've got some Billie Holiday too. I actually have a really extensive jazz and classical collection. That hasn't made it on to MP3 yet either.

Hendrix's 4cd box set is an essential to any cd collection.

Hmm... what genre are you looking for?I have a feeling you already have half the CDs I do.

See, that's the problem...I like so many different genre's that it's hard to find the good stuff in each.

Muse looks interesting. They sound a lot like Radiohead, not that that's a bad thing. Hell of a lot better than sounding like Boy Band/Faux Garage Band of the week.

They have a couple videos on launch.com, you should check 'em out. "Stockholm Syndrome" took a bit to grow on me, but now it makes me want to kill, violently. Plus, the video is awesome.

There...I feel better. A quick trip to Best Buy yielded the soundtrack to Hellboy, Absolution by Muse, and the new best of Marilyn Manson CD. Kind of a casual Manson fan, but for $9.99 I couldn't pass it up. Even the Muse CD was only $11.99.

Get you some classic blues. I'd recommend the Best Of from Muddy Waters, or maybe Stevie Ray Vaughn's Greatest Hits.

Check out an album called 5,000,000 by Dread Zeppelin (one of my faves) or some old school Social Distortion, or maybe some old Concrete Blonde.

I've got a good Jazz collection, but virtually no blues. That's definitely a big hole in my music collection.

I've heard of Dread Zeppelin. They're kinda reggae and Zeppelin-esque classic rock combined, right? Definitely worth checking out, I'll remember that!

If you're into a jazz feel with a bit of a indie twist, look into Phoenix. (their new stuff mainly, while their older stuff is awesome, it's less funky jazz and more feel good dance indie)

They also have a video on launch.com--"Everything is Everything"Check it out maybeh...

Yaknow, they might be pretty good, but I can't listen to them for more than a minute because his voice makes me want to claw my eyes out with sporks...

Yeah, I've been meaning to pick up some Kyuss. If I'm not mistaken, Queens of the Stone Age rose from the ashes of Kyuss. Wow...that sure sounded cheesy.

Get Bright Eyes - Lifted or The Story is in the Soil, Keep Your Ear to the Ground. Sure it may have a long cd title, but it is one awesome cd. Kinda Postal Service / DCFC-ish sound, that has both wonderful lyrics and a wide range of sounds (piano, string quartet, drunken orchestra, etc.) All make for some damn good listening...
