rear view mirror 2009 Rogue SL
HelloI am trying to find out if anyone has tried to replace the standard rear view mirror with the one from the premium which includes a compass.Also, on the Canadian version of the SL the is no outside temperature gauge and I would like to have this if possible.If anyone has any info on either of these it will be appreciated.Thanks Don

Re: Adding outside temperature display
It is not possible to add the outside temperature display... at least not easily. Basically you would have to change out the entire gauge cluster and add a sensor. It would be very expensive (in the hundreds of dollars) and would have to be done by the dealer to avoid odometer tampering.
Your best option is to add an after market temperature/thermometer. You can also get the Gentex mirror with auto-dimming, compass and outside temperature display for about $250 USD. There are photos of this mirror in the post I linked above. Read more here:

Not sure if you have the SL FWD or the AWD, but if you have the premium package the outside temp gauge is located in between the RPM and Speedo gauge.

Check WembleySells.com I have an SL FWD and had the standard rearview mirror removed and had a Homelink, Compass, Autodimming mirror installed for 98.00, the mirror cost me 164.00 U.S. (The LED is Amber). dizzydaly is correct. The outside temp gauge is only available on the SL Premium Pack in Canada.
The temp display and trip computer was made standard on US models only starting in 2009. We still have to get the premium pack in Canada to get this option.
