im changing my old rear transmission seal because its leaking and cant find the proper tools to install it. I ruined one seal trying to beat it in with a hammer and a big socket. yeh im an idiot but im stressed and am wondering where do i get a seal driver kit?

I just use socket extensions and gently tap it in place. I've also used big sockets. Just be gentle and you won't tear them up

Hahahaha, thats how I do it too. I put two or three seals a week in, using this method. One of my coworkers had been a mechanic for 13 years, and I dont think he knows what a seal driver is.

sorry to thread jack but since we are already on the subject where did you get your rear transmission seal at anyways and what for? the ka wont fit? thanks and sorry

The S13 KA seal does fit, and you can get it at any auto parts store. If it didn't fit for you, they probably gave you the wrong seal.

i was wondering was the seal that EMO was replacing was for a automatic or 5 speed? cause i have a leaky automatic (she has been stealing my girl tampon). my friend say that it could be the front or rear seal that busted...i need to know if that true..also how diffcult is to replace..
